citylights:
indubitably.

Ah, of course, but they're specifically about the singers being dead and then RISING FROM THE GRAVE AND KILLING IN THE NAME OF SATAN.

rawr.

Coolhanderik:
Islands - Don't call me Whitney, Bobby
Mogwai - Radar maker
Serena Maneesh - Candlelighted
The Smiths - Shakespeare's sister
Pavement - Bad version of war
Architecture in Helsinki - Fumble
The Residents - Viva Las Vegas

that was pretty fun

citylights:
and then there's the whole stuck-in-dungeon-and-dragons thing when they sing about wizards and elves and mystic realms.

not that i don't enjoy songs about mystic realms...

Bastardous Bassist:
My friend saw Blind Guardian, and one of the audience members yells out, between songs "Play something about hobbits!"  Needless to say, the didn't play something about hobbits.  That's just silly.

Yeah, they played something about elves.

Awesome song.  My band tried to do a cover of it with a classically-trained female vocalist.  Our styles just didn't mesh, plus the key was slightly too high for her.  It was disappointing, because we even had a superfluous unison run between guitars and bass!  That's prog to the core!
