I listened to Guero way too many times. I almost get sick lisenting to it agian.
-
I've played Plastic Ono Band to death.
-
My flatmate is obsessed with Doolittle by the Pixies. 'Debaser' used to be one of my favourite songs, but now I'm like "Aw shit, not again," whenever I hear it.
That saddens me a little. I'm sure I will get back into it once we're not living in the same house.
-
I listened to Images and Words so often I skip it almost all the time now. Except when I fast forward to the guitar solo in Under A Glass Moon.
-
I used to listen to S.O.D.'s Speak English or Die a ton; It was basically the soundtrack to my fucking summer. I haven't really listened to it at all since then. Same thing with Primus' Sailing The Seas of Cheese the summer before that. Neither of them left my CD player for like, 3 months. I've waay overplayed Siouxsie and the Banshees' Juju.
Albums that I've listened to soo many times and I STILL don't get tired of it (I'm limiting it to two major ones):
Crotchduster - Big Fat Box of Shit
Tenacious D - S/T
-
I don't overplay albums... albums overplay ME.
-
Like Soviet Russia?
-
The Arcade Fire- Funeral is dead to me. I don't really remember listening to it all that much. It just lost its appeal after maybe 20 listens.
-
Anything by REM. Elbow's Asleep in the Back album - though I still love it.
Overplayed to the point I can't listen to it anymore? Franz Ferdinand's eponymous album.
-
I'd have to go with Wolfmother (self titled)
It was playing in my car for a loooong loooong time :P
-
Metallica - Master Of Puppets (Disposable Heroes is the bestest song ever)
Pearl Jam - Ten
Soundgarden - Superunknown
Iron Maiden - Number Of The Beast
The EElS - Beautiful Freak
Radiohead - OK Computer
Weezer - Pinkerton
Pavement - Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain
Alan Silvestri - The Van Helsing Soundtrack (Although this wasn't overplaying as much as it was seeing the movie)
I think most of these are because, when I like an album I sometimes play them all day. So I get bored of them for a while, then find it sitting somewhere, dust it off, and the cycle begins again. A few days ago, Modest Mouse' The Moon & Antarctica would have been on this list, but now I love it again.
-
Under Byen - Det er Mig Der Holder Trĉerne Sammen
Stars - Set Yourself on Fire
Xiu Xiu - Fabolous Muscles
Radiohead - Hail to the Thief
Kashmir - Zitilites
The White Stripes - Elephant
They are all stellar albums but I have heard too much for their own good, it's goes in one ear and comes out of another.
-
The Arcade Fire - Funeral
They Might Be Giants - The Spine
Reel Big Fish - Cheer Up
Less Than Jake - Anthem
Kansas - Kansas
...among others.

Same thing with Primus' Sailing The Seas of Cheese the summer before that. Neither of them left my CD player for like, 3 months.
i did the same thing. i also overplayed december since it was my first noisecore cd and i loved playing it to piss off my sister.
-
Drunken Lullabies - Flogging Molly
I must have had that in my CD player for months after I got it.
-
I've listened to the new Amon Amarth album way too much. really.
also, Blood on Ice, but it disappeared from my PC and I haven't been able to listen to it in a few months.
*heads off to acquire*
-
king diamond - the puppet master
misericordiam - a thin line between man and machine
dragonforce - inhuman rampage
dies irae - sculpture of stone
modest mouse - the moon and antarctica
-
Albums that I have listened to so much that I know all of the words:
Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
The Postal Service - Give up
Modest Mouse -Baron von Bullshit Rides Again
The Beta Band - Hotshots vol. II
Listening to one of these is like eating potatos. Comfort music.
-
Oh my god, I forgot I had Blood On Ice. Such a great album.
-
Chiodos - All's Well That Ends Well
I listen to it just about everyday. All the way through. Still not sick of it.
-
Weezer - Blue Album
Red Hot Chili Peppers - Blood Sugar Sex Magic
There's another one, I just can't remember it
-
I listened to X&Y for three weeks straight, starting the day it was released - this meaning that I didn't listen to anything else for that period. Man, I was pretty burned out by then, but can go back to it frequently now that I've given it a rest.
I've often overplayed an album when I've first gotten it, then I've had to give it a break before I could go back to it - I'm getting better about this, though.
-
The Postal Service - Give Up
Cocteau Twins - Treasure
both the shins cds, all the new pornographers cds
-
The Shins - Chutes Too Narrow
Radiohead - The Bends
Radiohead - OK Computer (though I didn't really overplay it, it just kinda died)
MF Doom - Mm...Food?
-
I've overplayed A Ghost Is Born by Wilco quite a bit; luckily KickingTV has almost all of it on there in different versions. I'm saved! Haha.
I think I also overplayed Dark Side Of The Moon.
-
In the Aeroplane Over the Sea. Trite, I know, but there ya have it. Oh, and I'm not sick of it.
-
When I first got it, I listened to Judas Priest's Painkiller like, 800 thousand times in a row, and I still love it to bits.
-

Monoshock-Walk to the Fire
-I've been listening to this one nearly every day for the past couple weeks and it's a LOUD album so it must be pissing off the neighbours. I'm thinking I should buy another copy in case I wear this one out (it's an LP).

I don't think there's any albums I've really overplayed...I have too much music to obsess over stuff that much, though I think in general I overdosed on neo-folk a little bit over the past couple of months, so I guess my list would be like, every Death in June, Sol Invictus, Current 93, In Gowan Ring, Backworld and Of the Wand and the Moon album. Except I still love them all. I just go through genre phases. Like, around christmas time, I was seriously hitting it big on synth-based stuff.
I always listen to metal though.
