Seems that some of the content was deemed inappropriate and was removed, like it was a picture from some photo album instead of a continuing story. Does Jeph know about this?
-
You can contact him on the email address given on the Questionable Content main site and tell him!
-
Yeah, there is no contact info for him unless I get a Twitter account
-
His email is [email protected]
-
Is that because Tumblr changed their policies?
-
Presumably; I've heard of other similar issues.
The children adults must be protected from smut!
-
I had to wonder how long it would last on Tumblr, but it's still available at www.alicegrove.com. Even if it disappears I still have my PDF copy, but I'd like this to be available for future readers.
-
That url is hosted on Tumblr, and has the deletions.
-
What pages are deleted? I don't remember there being anything sexual in the comic.
-
By my count just three pages. Nothing sexual - but skin or bodysuits which the algorithm thinks is skin, I guess. You can see which pages are missing in the archive view (http://www.alicegrove.com/archive).

That's some grade A horse shit. Screw tumblr.

This is just indicative of the problem that Tumblr has had for the past couple of years.
They were bought by Verizon from Yahoo last year and so to appeal to the investors, they've launched an NSFW purge with a poorly implemented algorithm. People have done experiments, including one where they've taken a photo of a Japanese water cake, copied and changed the colour in three of them, usually pink, blue and green. Guess which one got flagged? Yep, the pink one. There's been another where they did the same thing with an exposed breast and its only been the pink one that has been tagged. Its literally only looking at the colour.
My guess is, the comics were dropped because of the algorithm picked up the colours from some of the outfits.
But more importantly, its only been artists and content creators that have been hit by this. Right-wing blogs have been untouched, as have white power blogs. Basically, Tumblr has become the shithole it always said it would never be.

Yes I see and it really is quite stupid. I figured the panels with Sedna topless would be pulled, but only one was removed while the rest was presumably Alice in her skin tight armor. Glad I have my PDF copy.
-
I really hope that if he's not planning on selling it as either a print or electronic edition that he releases it by some other means.
-
This seems to be happening every where on Tumblr. I checked and the last picture from Blaster Nation was removed and I’m more surprised it wasn’t taken down sooner.

Although some Alice Grove pages have mistakenly fallen foul of their recently-introduced automated adult-content filters, the number of blocked pages has reduced, presumably as they refine their algorithms. As of today, three images are still missing, and so here are links to copies of those pages which I have recovered from the Wayback machine:
2 Apr 2015 "Think about it"

2 Apr 2016 "Maybe it wants to be friends"

9 Apr 2017 "Violence"

Well shit. Looks like I missed the window to read AG.
-
Not at all; it's still there. In fact, I think some of the missing pages have been restored (though the archive display no longer shows where images have been removed by Tumblr).

There are still missing pages tho' and apparently if they can be read at all, there are hoops to jump thru.
-
If there was a not too hard way to host a mirror for Alice Grove, I'd be happy to do so...
-
There's an additional missing page which I found via the wayback machine: https://web.archive.org/web/20180417012305/http://www.alicegrove.com/post/162519628104/well-that-explains-everything
