Thanks! I know it isn't great (I wish I had been more careful, those little dots drive me nuts) but I think it turned out pretty well for a first time.

What kind of prints are those? I'd love to see them close up. They look pretty rockin'.

Wait, what are these exactly?

That cactus one is fancy. Haven't checked your link yet Edscoble, though.

EDIT: I just checked it. The orange fancy one with (What looks like) a hand coming out of the clouds or something is awesome.

Prints! There are lots of types of prints that you can do. Screenprinting, linoleum, litho, etching, wood... I consider printmaking to be anything where you have something to make, well, prints from by applying inks. That's a reduction print, and I did it with linoleum and ran in through a big printing press.

I'm sure edscoble will be able to go into more detail about processes, etc. I don't know very much about printing.

you know them old fashion printing machine? the hand operated one? we have one in our College (it's an 300 years old school in London) so it was rather painful, yet pretty nice to used such an old machine (nearly 200 year old as I'm told) to actually produce modern art.

i did some wussy printmaking frosh year.  it was a wood print of some bomber planes that i pressed onto a mixed media piece that was partly anti-war but mostly just spastic.  (it was at the beginning of the Afghan war).

i would show a photo, but i don't have one slash am a bit ashamed of my lack of skills.

prints! yay printmaking! here's some i've done:

http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34511595/
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34511499/
http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34511414/

the pics aren't as sharp as they should be, because my camera is kind of being a jerk. and when it stops being a jerk, i'm gonna put up more, because i've done color as well as black and white.

steve, there needs to be more than one pirate, because you can't very well sail a ship all by your lonesome. and i'd totaly kick your ass anyways.
