Ok guys, lets here it for the best writer in movies today.
Being John Malkovich
Adaptation
Human Nature
Confessions of a Dangerous Mind
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Now that's a resume to be proud of.
Any thoughts?

Charlie Kaufman gets a tenboner explosivo, although to my shame I've never seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
Did you know he had a cameo in The Big Lebowski? Look for him in the audience of the interpretive dance scene.

Adaptation and being john malkovich are my favorite of his movies. that line in Adaptation at the end where Meryl Streep was yelling, "You Fat, Bald, F***!!" i was cracking up in the theatre, though i don't know if a lot of people got it.
i really liked eternal sunshine too, but i was a little bored in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. I think the script was good, but the direction and acting kind of bothered me. maybe i need to see it again.
haven't seen human nature, but i have heard good things about it.

I didn't think Adaptation was up to par with Being John Malkovich (which isn't really saying much, given how great BJM was), but Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was unbelievable. The whole 2nd act is just fantastic.

Yeah, I knew about Charlie in the Audience in The Big Lebowski.
Also I think Adaptation is the best Kaufman movie.

Eternal Sunshine is an amazing film.
Also Jim Carey is bloody brilliant in it, and I usually pass him off as a mediocre actor.
-
I actually preferred Adaptation to Being John Malkovich, but that's because I'm a sucker for Metanarratives. Plus the acting was just spiffier overall.

"You were him, weren't you?!" is probably the best line in all of film. Well, except for maybe "This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
I guess I just have a soft spot for surreal film. I loved the concept of Adaptation, but about 1/2way through, it just lost track of everything. I still love the film, it just wasnt as good as BJM or Eternal Sunshine. I didn't realize "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" was his, I'll have to rent it...
If you like Kaufman, I'm going to suggest "Everything is Illuminated." It has the indie feel, and the surreal humor of a Kaufman film, with amazing cinemetography and the beautiful backdrop of rural eastern europe.
