So, Which shows are you going to go to this year?
Here's mine:
20th May - EITHER a music festival with We Are Scientists, Mistery Jets, Kinky and some other bands OR Art Brut with Kasabian (urgh) and the Rapture (yay). Tickets to Art Brut are by means of a contest so We Are Scientists are more likely
5th June - Architecture in Helsinki
15th September - New Pornographers and some others. I'm really anxious about this one, these kind of bands usually play near the city centre and 15th Sept is Mexican Independece Day so it's gonna be really hard to get there.
-
Saturday - Geoff Farina!
I don't know about further on, though.
-
June 9th - Shellac & The New Year
June 23rd - Sonic Youth
The anticipation!
-
I'll probably go see Pelican and Mono on Sunday. Blame Game on Monday. Haven't looked at the schedule for the rest of the month. Maybe I'll go see Bauhaus open for NIN. I know Al's taking Revolting Cocks out on the road with Ministry this summer.

June 7 - Belle and Sebastian (maybe)
The Eels aren't coming to Perth. Bastards.
-
Going to see Roger Waters perform the Whole of DSotM and part of the Wall in September.
-
Motörhead were fucking awesome when they played my uni in November. They might be old but they still know how to ROCK.
Quite looking forward to Ministry this summer too.
-
Tomorrow I'm going to Chicargo to see Acid Mothers Temple.
-
Tomorrow, day two of the Chicago Rocks fest, which ironically is an indie hip hop fest and there's no rock to be had.
The M3T3ORS (planning on hitting three or four shows from their US tour)
Peacocks and Three Blue Teardrops
Epoxies/Phenomenauts
Quakes with 7 Shot Screamers (two shows)
Shark Soup and the Chop Tops opening for Nekromantix (though I refuse to see Nekro).
Speed Crazy
Sasquatch and the Sickabillys
Festival related, Lollapalooza, Pitchfork, Intonation, and possibly Heavy Rebel if I feel like going down to North Carolina. If I can mooch free tickets, then I shall attend Warped Tour as well.

I'm so jealous. Keep an eye out for a band called NUTE. They're a kiwi band touring the UK in June. They have a slot on Infest if someone pulls out. Most excellent NZ industrial.
P.s. can I come live in your basement and we can go to these festivals?
-
Hey, you got dates for that June tour? I've only got one gig lined up in June (fucking Mesh playing my/their hometown, Bristol :D) so if those Nute fellas come anywhere near here I might well go see 'em :)
Also, our house doesn't have a basement but we have a spare room, come on over ;) M'era Luna kicked ass last year and the line-up is outstanding this time around, something tells me it'll be a yearly event from now on for me. :)
edit: while we're on the subject of goth/electro, I know it's a different country but well... Australia is closer to you than to me. You heard of an Aussie band called Resurrection Eve? If not, check them out, great darkwave-y synthpop. If you like the look of the Infest line-up they should be right up yer alley.
-

They're not coming anywhere near me. :(
I was going to see Acid Mothers Temple, but I didn't have enough money at the time. It made me super sad.
-

May 25 - Imogen Heap
June 11(?) - Pelican (contingent on me surviving finals week)

July 24 - Lagwagon, Lawrence Arms, A Wilhelm Scream
WHAT? WHERE AND WHEN? Also, see yah at the shows! I'm probably going to the matinee Planet Smashers show because my friend's not legal.
-
All these fantastic concerts makes me feel like a sad puppy.
I live in the middle of nowhere where you can choose between bad metal bands and "party" bands. Piv.
-
No party metal bands?
-
I'm seeing mogwai tonight whoo, and architecture in helsinki on thursday, and after that...who knows!
-
No party metal bands?
Now if such a thing existed it might be interesting, but the guys who play metal/metalcore around here are dead serious. I mean come on one of the bands is called Memorial, you don't get more dead than that.
-
Ach. Metalcore in itself is not very good. Metalcore that takes itself super seriously is dead shitty.
-
WILCO!
July 7th! My friend is purchasing the tickets asap! *does happy dance*

Resurrection Eve played the goth ball here two years ago. I was too young to go sadly...
NUTE can be found at http://www.myspace.com/nutenz or http://www.cyborgresistance.com
They kill.
P.s. Add me on msn, [email protected]

July 24 - Lagwagon, Lawrence Arms, A Wilhelm Scream

It's at the Warehouse in Toronto, according to punknews.org... I'm pretty sure you can get tickets at Rotate This, in downtown TO.
EDIT: I forgot that the Warehouse is actually the "Kool Haus".
-
Sadly I won't be seeing Dragonforce :(
Later this year I hope to catch the Tool concert. I also still have my U2 ticket for whenever the Melbourne concert has been postponed to.
-
I just found out that Grizzly Bear is playing reasonably near me, I might just have to attend that concert if all goes well. Pretty funky if I say so myself :)
Also, apparently, The Manic Russian Mens Choir(I am not sure if they are actually russian) and Die Anarchistische Abendunterhaltung are touring.

Jun 19th - Sonic Youth.
I am super excited.
Possibly seeing Pinback in a few days, given that I'm not super poor at the time. But that relies on the gummint being prompt in sending in my tax check, so I guess no Pinback for me.
You guys mentioned Broken Social Scene and got me all worked up, but alas, no where near Atlanta. :(
-
I'm going to The Aquabats! on June 2nd, along with The Aggrolites and Whole Wheat Bread. It's on the last day of school, so I'm pretty pumped. Plus, I've never seen The Aquabats! in concert, and I hear good things.
-

Well the bands I just saw, Born in Winter, Deviant and Voltaire. Awsome show/con thingy what ever you want to call it. Heading back down to Denver on the 28th to see Deviant and Born in Winter again along with Zombie Girl.
