So I might be dreadfully behind the 8 ball on this one, but I was just pointed out this site (http://www.xlrecordings.com)...
*Insert general loss of bowel control here.*

Yeah, I'm excited. He and Spencer Krug should have a cage match for electronic pop wankery supremacy.
-
Oh man, the most annoying member of an utterly inescapable band making a likely uber pretentious album completely devoid of musical proficiency. I cannot wait.
OK, that was sorta harsh.
-
Indeed, that'd be quite the sight. My money would be on Krug, but it'd be a close one to call.
Anyway, I'm really excited about this. Maybe not as much as I'd be about a new Radiohead album, but still, this is fairly awesome.
And speaking of awesome and Spencer Krug, I can't wait for the Swan Lake album. Spencer Krug, Dan Bejar, and Carey Mercer. I can't wait.

Yowch. Storm Rider no likey likey Radiohead. Haha.
Hey, I'm a fan. But they are certainly not everybody's cup of English Breakfast, blonde, with one leg.
Girls - Make me that drink, and I'll swoon like crazy.
-
Okay, how about this. Can we have one - just one - Radiohead-related thread in this music forum that doesn't turn into a string of "Ohmygod Radiohead sucks so hard" posts? Can we? Can we do that? I think we can if we try really, really hard. 'Cause seriously guys, it got old about a year ago.
-
I like Radiohead.
I like Thom.
I'm excited about Thom’s album.
I hope I did this right.
-
I just heard about Thom's album now, and I'm a big Radiohead fan.
I need to pay more attention at internets.
Anyway, excited I am.
-
As far as I'm concerned, this is just a way of postponing an album already a year overdue. So I don't really give a damn.
-
I was surprised when I read the email he sent out announcing it.
this is just a note to say that something has been kicking around in the background that i have not told you about.
its called The Eraser.
nigel produced & arranged it .
i wrote and played it.
the elements have been kicking round now for a few years and needed to be finished & i have been itching to do something like this for ages.
it was fun and quick to do.
inevitably it is more beats & electronics.
but its songs.
stanley did the cover.
yes its a record!
no its not a radiohead record.
as you know the band are now touring and writing new stuff and getting to a good space so i want no crap about me being a traitor or whatever splitting up blah blah...
this was all done with their blessing. and i don't wanna hear that word solo. doesnt sound right.
ok then thats that.
i think its out in july and im pretty certain XL are going to put it out.
love thom
I guess I was expecting him to a bit more literate. And maybe more sour.

Yes, but what does Jack White have to do with anything?
(I kid, I kid. I actually liked Broken Boy Soldiers.)
-

Me too, it sounds like he was drunk when he wrote it.
-
"so i want no crap" pretty much made my crappy day a little better.
-
Thom, drop that bottle of Malt Liquor and get working on that Radiohead album!

I used to hate Radiohead so much. Then I realized me being a dick about them wasn't helping anyone. Then I listened to Kid A and OK Computer and realized that Hail To The Thief is not a good album to judge them by.
-
I do not dislike radiohead at all.
I just hate Thom Yorke and his pitiful whiny voice.
-
So you’re saying that you hadn’t heard anything Radiohead at all before 2 years ago? You missed out on such a fun time in contemporary musical history.
Edit: Man I'm slow, directed at Johnny.
-
I really do love Radiohead, but I can't imagine Thom Yorkes warbling voice being nearly as appealing without the Greenwood brothers and Ed Whatshisface backing him up.
-

Wait, what? I've never heard of this. Is it a collaboration of all of them at once or just a compilation with them on it?
-
The thought that people would like radiohead because of their singer makes me chuckle.
-
Will this be out before the radiohead album?
-
Will this be out before the radiohead album?
I'd suspect so.

Honestly (and this is also directed at makeout hobo's comment), Yorke used to be the reason I didn't like Radiohead. But really it's not all that bad. A little warbly and thin now and again but when he wants power and control then he does usually get it.
I'm defending Thom Yorke's voice. This is ironic.

That shit leaked and God said, "It is good."
-
Oh yes it is.
