Oh yeah, I think you could count Atom. Me and My Black Metal Friends is one of my favorite songs ever, as well as Before my Friends Do and various other little ditties.

Guys, does Atom and His Package count as Nerdcore?

GOD YES! Hats of to Halford, quite possibley the funniest song ever written about metal.

I'm also trying really hard not to be all "stop poluting the forum with your shite, say something relevant or get the fuck out" to someone. Hopefully said person will catch up soon.

ALSO: Adam Green and/or Moldy Peaches perhaps?

I was playing the Moldy Peaches in the morning once and my girlfriend stomped into the room and cranked the volume to zero and then stomped out.

I don’t think she likes them.

I'd presume.

You should play them any chance you get.

MC Chris' birthday rap for Sealab is great.
Title: goth girls
Post by: surreality on 28 May 2006, 20:06
Goths girls, they're the girls that go
to see the nerdcore rappe with the geeked out flow
at the show, you can see the black lace on parade
I met a hundred dozen of 'em but I ain't got laid.

Goth girls, goth girls, they're the girls that got
their souls stuck somewhere between the kettle and pot
Frontalot been enamored with 'em since I was young
met a hundred dozen of 'em never ever humped one.

that song just seems to go with QC

and if you're slow on the uptake, I'll lay it out
hipsterism is a religion to which you gotta be devout
must be seen as in between unpopular and hated
or else get excommunicated

More proof, that just agrees with you. Heh, indie nerds are awesome.

I really like Frontalot, because half of his stuff is just funny as hell nerdcore stuff, and some of his stuff is just really solid and not really trying to be funny, like This Old Man. MC Chris is fucking brilliant in small doses, but there is only so many times I can listen to his songs without getting tired of him. Except Fetts' Vette. That song is pure class. Apart from that, I am hoping I get some decent recommendations from this thread, I really want to hear more Nerdcore.

I've never heard of this, but I like the sound of it! This frontalot needs closer inspection I think...
Edit: Listened and love it! Am adopting Indier than thou as my new personal theme tune!

Blackalicious' "Chemical Calisthenics" I would say is at least pseudo-nerdcore.  Maybe that's just the former science major talking, but I definately get a kick out of songs discussing electronegativity.

Del the Funkee Homosapien has this awesome song on Both Sides of the Brain that's about video games. Forgot the name of it and too lazy to look it up.

MC Paul Barman doesn't appear to have been mentioned yet.

and if we're not just talking about rap, i think bands like The Aquabats, The Advantage, The Minibosses, Nerf Herder, The Phenomenauts, Supernova, The Protomen, and Totally Radd would all count.

I had heard this song somewhat randomly from someone who was trying to get me into "real" rap (i.e. lure me away from being a Ludacris fan) :x

Anyway, I was/am totally in love with that song.  I geeked out and pretended that I knew all kinds of smart things about the evolution of the beat but mostly I was all "Mmm periodic table".
