This thread is for me to extoll the virtues of White Rose Movement and hopefully give some people another awesome new band to like.
So they're electro-disco funness in the league of Clor, Ladytron, Tom Vek, Hot Chip...

and my personal fave, Girls In The Back: link (http://www.stupiditykills.co.uk/White%20Rose%20Movement%20-%20Girls%20In%20The%20Back.mp3) you can download it
I first saw them at Dot To Dot festival in Nottingham last year, and remembered them being good but hadn't listened much since. Well they were playing at the Fleece last night and I was working (I would have gone to watch anyway, but hey, getting paid to be there is good too) Oh My God, I didn't remember them being that good! Me and Beth (the other barmaid) were dancing so much even though we were still supposed to be serving. Also the guys were really nice and friendly and we got free t-shirts, stickers and badges!
A good gig experience calls for sharing so there you go, go forth and enjoy.

hey, that's pretty good/fun. Thanks for the tip !

I though the thread would be about the actual White Rose movement...
-
Yes, that is why its in the Music section and mentions other bands in the subject.
Sorry to disappoint.
Come on people, have a listen dammit!
-
I rather like this, they remind me more of something from DFA more than Ladytron.
-
This is not really my cup of tea, but it strikes me as something that my little sister would positively adore! Thank you much, I try to be on the lookout for her.
-
No shit, you work at the Fleece & Firkin? Great venue that :D any other good bands playing there in the near future? Since I moved back from uni I've had a bit of a drought of good shows.
Checking zis band out now.
-
I do indeed, and yes it is thanks! The best things coming up soon are: Angry Panda on Weds, Larrikin Love on the 25th and Fortune Drive on 28th.

Angry Panda? Great, now I have one more thing to put in my Panda mixtape.
-
Yes, that is why its in the Music section and mentions other bands in the subject.
That's cheating :) (to those who don't know, it didn't when I posted :) . I think.)
-
Yes. It did.
-
I just picked up their latest CD and it is pretty fuckin' tasty. Thanks for the tip. :)

one of the worst bands i've ever seen live. like an emi exec thought he had the next killers on his hand, and threw a high-priced producer whose name currently escapes me now at them with shitty results.

BUMPZORZ
Saw them yesterday at pukkelpop - loved it. Fav songs; Cruella, Love is a number
-
Whoa, I saw them at the Louisiana last autumn before the album got released - they were really, really good, and I was a little disapointed that the album didn't quite capture the live show.
And I couldn't find the 'WRM' arm patch badge thing that Finn had for love nor money. I was distraught. And yes to Love Is A Number and Girls In The Back.
