So, like topknot, I've been getting somewhat bored with most music around me lately. I read through his music post, and found comeback kid and the modey lemon, both of which I love so far.
Let me explain my tastes in music now. I like punk rock, and I'm a huge fan of Bad Religion, and NoFX. I like old system of a down, whatever they are. I like metal, but haven't heard all too much. Just Lamb of God, Children of Bodom, Slayer, etc. Also Bullet for my Valentine if you want to consider them metal. I've liked hardcore a bit, or what people tell me is hardcore anyway. The Blood Brothers are amazing, and even though I think its more punk than hardcore, comeback kid. I just recently went through the RL link on QC, and downloaded some of the indie bands. They're good for the most part, but hardly any of them can actually keep my interest. Too soft, or too slow, or too dull for me. Like I said the modey lemon is great though. I love ska, tons of energy even if the songs are slow they're always bouncey.
Now, music I don't like. I can't stand rap or country, or most hip hop. Please don't suggest coheed and cambria to me, hardcore or whatever I personally think they suck. No emo, i can't listen to the same song about an imaginary girlfriend leaving the vocalist by 50 diffrent bands. I don't like jazz either.
So what I'm looking for I guess is hard punk bands, metal bands, ska bands, hardcore bands, and whatever you may think I like based on this post. Thanks.

What ... No Skyclad?!?
-
He's not ready for Skyclad yet.
-
You can't go straight up from metalcore to Skyclad. The sheer disparity in quality over a short period of time would make his head explode.

...and this is a bad thing?

Novel concept. Let me think it over for a bit and I'll come back to you.
-
If the first thing you listed was NoFX and Bad Religion, I would really seriouslry reccommend NoMeansNo. Their stuff is pretty hard to find, so if you want some, AIM me at DesirableCheese and I will send you hell of some.
-
Just remmembered I wanted to recommend Fugazi, Hot Water Music, The Jesus Lizard and Tomahawk.
-
Listen to Suicidal Tendencies.

Holy crap, I'm gonna have a busy night on limewire.
Thanks everyone for all the suggestions, I'm gonna start looking up stuff tonight and tomorrow. I'll also probably IM you La Creme about NoMeansNo. Bad Religion is one of if not my favorite group, and NoFX is up there too. Thing is, even with bad religions 20 something CDs, I'm just getting bored listening to the same stuff over and over.
Anyway, thanks again all, and if anyone else thinks of anything they think i would like, please post ^^
Edit: out of the bands from that long list, I have heard -
Anthrax - Haven't heard much, sounds fast and I like fast
Black Flag - Haven't heard them in a long time, don't really remember
Black Sabboth - Alright, but doesn't keep my interest really
Cock Sparrer - Downloaded some a few nights ago, but only got a few songs. Didn't like much of what I heard, but like I said I only had a small sample
Dropkick Murphys - Excellent
GWAR - Weird as hell, fun as hell. Listened to them a bit a while back. Definently entertains me
Iron Maiden - Haven't heard enough to pass judgement
Judas Priest - See above (im not into most older metal groups)
Motorhead - Heard them, but don't remember shit
The Ramones - Definently talented, definently good, energenic, catchy, but not for me. Dead Kennedys may be diffrent though
The Vandals - Heard a cover of some church song, hilarious, have to check out more
All the rest, including the other suggestions through out the thread, I'll be looking up tomorrow, and most likely will expand on whatever I have from the above mentioned as well :)

If you like Metalcore and Punk you'll probably like Refused.
You definately need to hear more Sabbath, Maiden and Priest, basically every metal band today is influenced by these three bands.
The ablums you should probably start with are: Sabbath: Master of Reality, Sabath Bloody Sabbath and Paranoid .
Maiden: Killers, No of the Beast, Powerslave
Priest: Stained Class, Defenders of the Faith, Painkiller
