If you happen to live in the local area of San Diego county, come by the Del Mar Fairgrounds throughbred race track to see the Flaming Lips FOR 6 DOLLARS! It's actually a free concert, but only with a paid track admission.

They played for free in Philly this past weekend.  I was in NY at the time, but the fact that I saw Dead Meadow in NYC yesterday afternoon made up for it.

...And didn't have to pay a dime. My roomate drove and didn't want gas money and our friend covered parking and we just walked through the exit gate as everyone was leaving the races so we didn't pay admission. It was the best show. I am the luckiest woman ever...woo! That was my first Flaming Lips show. They truly are a "crack-rock of pure joy!"

I'm going to pay out the ass to drive around twenty hours to see them in a different country when the Lips will be playing with Sonic Youth at the Minnesota State Fair.

It'll still totally be worth it, though.
