Title: greatest place for tabs?
Post by: theenginedriver on 27 Jul 2006, 05:40: i am pretty sure that the search for good tabs on the internet is almost as difficult as trying to find the holy grail, so this may be a pointless post. but there is still a very small part of me that wants to believe that it's possible. i have been lazy with guitar for the past year or so, and now i am starting to WANT to learn, which is a good start. i can't learn by ear and i have no money for lessons. so, which websites do you use to find decent tabs?

Can you work things out with your ears? Because if you can do it for anything, you should practice that, it'll be much more helpful than playing from tabs.

Well yeah, I started on tabs myself, I just mean if you have ability to use your ear instead or in tandem, then do so.

Post by: Valrus on 27 Jul 2006, 18:35: In tandem is the way to go for me. I can work things out pretty well by ear but it is pretty time-consuming; I prefer to work from tab if it's available to me. It's just important to be able to tell if it's wrong!

I usually use ultimate-guitar.com, and I've posted some Fiery Furnaces tabs there.

I use www.basstabarchive.com for bass tabs.
