Favourite song from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack. Yes, I mean the entire thing. GO!
-
The Real Folk Blues.
Beats the entire 7 CD soundtrack. Seriously.
-
I should get that soundtrack some time.
But seven CDs?
-
Absolutely.
Also, I forgot to mention that mine is a close tie between "Blue" and "Rain." Something about the well-arranged choir-style vocals.
-
Would someone shoot me if I just went ahead and said "Tank!"?
also, I am unsire of how to handle double puncuation like that.
-
"Gotta Knock a Little Harder" from the movie always gives me gosebumps (good type) when I listen to it, but if you want it from the seires it's probably "Too Good, Too Bad".
-

I wouldn't shoot you. Not with anything of a large caliber, at least. And you got the punctuation straight on, at least in my opinion.
-
Piano Black has always sat high on my list.
-
For the Vocal tunes:
Fantasie Sign (vocals by Carla Vallet), hands down
Close seconds would be Mushroom Hunting and The Singing Sea, since Tulivu-Donna Cumberbatch is probably my favorite of the CB Vocalists. Mai Yamano isn't bad but the songs she sings just don't do it for me, and Steve Conte is like a male Celine Dion.
For the Non-Vocal stuff: The entire Cowboy Bebop Freestyle album is aces, and worth it just for the "radio free mars" interludes. Otherwise I'd go with...um...gateway? I dunno. S'all good.
-
You know the piano music that usually accompanies Spike's memories? Yeah. That's my favorite.
I'm so glad one of the best shows ever made has one of the best soundtracks as well.
-
Emily Bindinger - Adieu (Long Ver.)
I'm looking for more of her stuff, but it appears she mostly does backup vocals/producing...

Cats on Mars. Yes yes yes yes yes. I always just get a big stupid grin on my face as soon as I hear it.
I'm pretty sure my other favorites are tank and the real folk blues. The two songs you hear more than any other, incidentally.
But really, every now and then, my roommate and I just break into an a cappella improv version of tank and rock out. That song almost always fits any mood, and when it fails, you can substitute the real folk blues.
Need to rock out? Tank! Going for a drive? Tank! Working on something? Tank! Tired? Real folk blues. Too mellow/indifferent to care? Either one will change your mood!
So, Tank! and The Real Folk Blues: the only two songs you'll ever need.

I just realized that when i say 'its time to blow this scene' whenver i leave anywhere most people don't know what i mean. so basically, what slick said
There's a webcomic somewhere that had 'the Ballad of John and Yoko', about John Williams meeting Yoko Kanno. Can't find it though

speaking of Cowboy Bebop, i JUSt finished watching The Real Folk Blues Parts 1 and 2 on cartoon network.
Apparently the guy that won the competetion and got the schedule the programming is a genius. He also ran ALL of FLCL.
-

So read that as 'double penetration'.
-
Shit, I dont remember the name fo the song, the one with the Gren episodes, the slow hazz on, I think it is called Jupiter Jazz, but yeah, that one.
-
The Live version of Real Folk Blues is AWESOME.
-
Yeah, I just got all the soundtracks for Cowboy Bebop, I've been listening to them constantly.
Aoi 'Ed' Toda - Wo qui non coin. Listened 114 times now.
The rest of it is fucking awesome too.
-
My favorite...probably Want it All Back
Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex also has a really good soundtrack (also Yoko Kanno)

i dunno... i left America 3 years ago and i'd seen all of Bebop like 3 times on CN. have they just kept rerunning it since i left?
-

If it's the one they show him playing it would be goodnight julia.
-
Ok most of the ones listed rock, Real Folk Blues, Goodnight Julia, Rain Gotta Kncok A Little Hard etc. But Diggin' is effing fun, I dont even like country, and and 7 Minutes is fucking intense. Ask DNA is pretty good too but for that one I blame the opening for the Cowboy Bebop movie, since its pretty much the coolest animated thing ever.

they run it on and off, they take it out of the regular lineup every other year or so, it seems.

I walked around singing 'Balled of Fallen Angels (Rain)' today. I do that alot. Its the one with the English language vocals.
-
Ballad of Fallen Angels is mine as well.
-
Rain is awesome.
-
I really like "Ask DNA", but my overall favorite would have to be "The Real Folk Blues". All the music in Bebop is so great, it's one of the reasons I love the series so much.
-
Yoko Kano and the Seatbelts ftw
-
Can someone fill me in?
-
Cowboy Bebop is an anime show, just one season long + a movie. It's one of the two animes I've watched, and I recommend it to everyone, for a plethora of reasons, including it's amazing soundtrack.
I'm sure you can download the first few episodes somewhere and check it out, but watch the series before the movie.
-
I can't pick my favorite Cowboy Bebop song, I really like them all :x. The movie soundtrack was decent, too. I don't think I've ever played a certain track of CB on its own, I always run through a playlist of the albums and the music sort of blends together after awhile :). I <3 Yoko Kanno's style, she's BRILL-YANT.
Particular tracks that stand out to me are "The Egg and I", "Rain", "Cats on Mars", "Piano Bar", "Black Coffee" (OMG I LOVE THIS SONG- it's hilarious), "Blue", "Chicken Bone", "Adieu" (this song is calming), and "Ask DNA".

Bad Dog No Biscuits
I've got a thing for absurd trumpet solos. Especially when they go waanahanahangnahanahnahaaganagananganan babananbangnanb araananabnbangnanagnnabnan wwanana anwawnawn piddlediddle wannawna diddle.
Haven't heard many of those songs for a while, though.
-
Bad Dog No Biscuits
One of my favorites from the show, as well. I have a fondness for "Cats on Mars" because it's funny made-up space language.
-
Ask DNA is probably my fav followed by Real Folk Blues and "Gotta Knock a Little Harder."
