i really don't like the idea of taking songs out of the context of albums but still those cds would be a damn good listen.

i usually don't have much of a problem with it, but i also like listening to all the changes bands go through.  makes for a more interesting listening experience, i think.

I used to do stuff like that before mp3's. It's a good idea for driving and stuff. Seems like a waste of a cdr if you're only going to play it once though...

I know. I dont know if I should just go chronologically and just choose my favorite songs from each album (I have their discography. All except from Host, for obvious reasons) or that I should just mix up my favorite songs so that you'll get a song from Gothic followed by a song from Icon and then a song from Believe In Nothing and so on.

Well I've been Inspired I just burned a Limbonic Art best of collection.

Disc 1

1. Misanthropic Spectrum (7:17)
2. As the Bell of Immolation Calls (9:47)
3. A Venomous Kiss of Profane Grace (7:05)
4. Under Burdens of Life's Holocaust (6:25)
5 Towards the Oblivion of Dreams (10:07)
6. Beyond the Candles Burning (7:06)
7. Pits of The Cold Beyond (5:41)
8. In Mourning Mystique (14:40)
9. Solace of the Shadows (6:56)

Disc 2
1.  Symphony in Moonlight and Nightmares (5:35)
2.  Dynasty of Death (9:33)
3.  A Demonoid Virtue (7:39)
4. The Blackheart's Nirvana (10:28)
5. The Yawning Abyss of Madness (11:17)
6. Moon in the Scorpio (8:23)
7. Interstellar Overdrive (6:04)
8. Abyssmal Necromancy (7:13)
9. In Embers of Eternal Greed (6:21)
10. Artic Odyssey (3:45)

A good mix of their old and new catalogue thrown in, I'm particular I'm really impressed with how the Clock Chimes at the end of 'Misanthropic Spectrum' morph into the gongs at the beginning of 'As the Bell of Immolation Calls' was a completely accidental effect as well...
