I saw them likened to Pavement on last so I got The Body, The Blood, The Machine. Which, I've been told is their "ironic" christian album. Whatever the message or lack of message may be the album is amazing, Pillar of salt is a awesome track that I've listened to many times over the last week. Anyone have any thoughts or comments on it?

I have a few of their songs, which I love. They're on my mental list of bands to buy an album by...

hey! i know you from the awful boards!
what a weird coincidence, i just posted in your thread.
i'm not really a big fan of the thermals, however. the guy's voice is pretty grating.

This is weird I had no expierence with the thermals until sometime last week when looking through my local used record store while talking to my record store clerk friend when I sumbled across "fuckin a" I mentioned I didn't know the Thermals and my record store friend freaked out on me so I obviously purchased it, I quite enjoy it and I haven't stopped hearing about them since ... crazy.

More Parts Per Million is the best.

Great band. I enjoy their indie/punk music.

I recently discovered them as well (with the release of The Body, The Blood, The Machine). While I don't have that, I do have Fuckin A, which I absolutely adore. I can't stop listening to How We Know.

It's good music but after a while the singer gets on my nerves too.

I put the cd on at a friend's house because I thought it had an amusing title. I listened to about the first 3 seconds of each song, and skipped them, because they all started the same.
