 Heh. Now THAT'S funny.

Actually, it's not. It's pretty depressing, because it makes me realize that a character I grew up with has been dead/starving to death since before I could read.

(Depending on how you look at it.)
-
How horribly does it date me to say I remember those?

One of the few times Garfield took a serious turn.
-
i was already depressed but uh...thanks alot man, there goes my childhood

-
Garfield has been dead for quite some time. They're just rerunning the comics with slightly different dialogue and different time stamp.

-
Nope, they had an actual storyline a couple of weeks back.

Now they're back to rerunning though.
-
that is kind of depressing, mine still has John going out with Liz

-
...huh.  i was born in 1991, i had no idea garfield was ever that awesome.

-
I heard about this on the snafu forums a month or two ago.

-
Yeah, I remember reading one of the books with those in it back when i was 7; confused the hell out of me both then and now. Tho I've always thought Garfield was a tad bit smarter then people give it credit for.

-
There's only a certain number of times we can laugh when Garfield stomps on a spider

-
I've seen discussion on this story arc before, and it's almost always been concluded that he is not in fact starving but merely imagining the whole thing.
