Basically the idea is this: At the end of this post I will put a song. the next person after me will listen to this song via the magic of p2p technology, legal download, mp3 shopping, whatever floats your boat, and give it a rating out of 10. Having given this rating, they will suggest a track of their own. The next person who wants to take part in the game will listen to their suggestion, review, and suggest their own, and so forth. The purpose is to help people discover new bands by forcing your musical taste brutally on to others and then having indignant arguments when they give your favourite song ever 2/10.
Don't suggest a track without reviewing the last track suggested.

I also.

I don't really have anything to contribute here because I'm somewhat intoxicated but I will say that Morrigan pretty decent.
That is all.
Splunkle - you are officially on my shit list. But that's ok, since this is the forced listening thread.
I also.
Sorta pounding doomy metal. Blackmetal style vocals. I wouldn't call it blackmetal though. Maybe doom or sludge... too slow for black metal. Pretty sweet nonetheless.
Sailor Man-Turbonegro. (http://download.yousendit.com/32307A486868E0F1)
Oslo's premier homoerotic deathpunk band. Love it or fuck off.
Jawbreaker- "Condition Oakland" (http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=93A8F6D65902319F)
I absolutely love Wax Mannequin
Malajube - Le Crabe (http://download.yousendit.com/8836ED3652C18A4C)
Instead I'm gonna give you two files;:D Cheers
Majik by ohGr (http://download.yousendit.com/2D55966F1A70BE90)
Astro Zombies by My Chemical Romance (http://download.yousendit.com/5DB4FC7109295D2F)
I expect reviews of both tracks but not necessarily two tracks uploaded in return.

Holy crap! This rules!
Think Venetian Snares meets every excellent metal riff you've heard and then scramble the hell out of it and crank the tempo up. I imagine a whole album would get tiring.
9/10
Won't be posting a song for an hour or two so if someone else wants to then go for it.
as far as i'm concerned grind should be hard, loud and fast... and in this case one out of three is bad because all they managed to get down pat was the fast, the riff started off at mediocre and then as previously mentioned "got scrambled to hell" leaving us with an out of time disjointed piece of music which for some odd reason has a hardcore vocalist the drumminghowever is good in the parts where some one didn't try and hack it upHe never said it was grind, just that it was made of grind samples. Besides, I really like electronic music and metal so this was a cool buzz I reckon.
5.5/10
There's something wrong with the song, it starts skipping after about a minute until the end.Are you sure? What exact time does the skipping start?
BUT YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO RATE IT OUT OF 10!
Oh good, the thread is moving again!
Right. Vreid - Helvete
*loads into itunes, looks at genre name*
Oh-oh. Metal. I'm not very good at metal. I'm liable to criminally under-appreciate your favourite song.
Pierce Turner - Manana In Manhattan - Wicklow Hills
Link not working.
This is actually pretty good rock. Nice melodies, good riffs, tight and varied drums and the singer sounds like he actually cares about whatever he's saying. The bass actually does something other than play root notes and following the guitar, and the song structure is not too repetative. Not really my music, but I can't find fault with it. 8/10
Ummm, no it didn't. Listen to the Propagandhi song I posted earlier. It rocks at least twice as hard as that song.Jesus you're an egotistical little git. Do you even think before you post?
Demoniation-Witchery (I assume the band name is Witchery)
Quite proficient metal. Reasonably interesting if a little showy in places.

1. Peoples musical tastes differ.
2. You are more than welcome to disagree with people but flat contradiction without basis will get you nowhere.
3. This appears to be consistent with your behaviour thus far. Just because you like it does not make it good in the eyes of everyone.
I'd appreciate if you gave things a little more thought before posting them.
Tracks thus far I've enjoyed;
Propaghandi
Bolt Thrower
Cryptic Wintermoon (so krieg they don't have a wikipedia page)
Demoniation-Witchery (I assume the band name is Witchery)
Quite proficient metal. Reasonably interesting if a little showy in places. The solo is a bit over blown and doesn't really go with the rhythm guitars imo. I like it thought. Vocals are grym as.
I would certainly download more but probably wouldn't pay for it.
6/10
Honky's Ladder-The Afghan Whigs (http://download.yousendit.com/BA36C815736A1F7F)
Wait, did someone just post "Rock Me Amadeus" as a serious selection? Did Khar just review it without a second thought?
Please tell me someone else is laughing.
Initial thoughts: Oh god, that scratching is annoying.
Oh wait, no, that singing is probably more annoying. No wait, the cliche rap beat is more annoying. Oh gods there's six more minutes of this and now is a good time to introduce horns?
2/10. It was gonna be 4/10 just for the pretentiousness of that timeline bit, but then the awful female vocalist kicked in and knocked two straight off again.
Okay, now, I'm going to warn you in advance. Approach this song with caution. The first twenty seconds of this song probably rock harder than half the people on this forum's entire music collections.
Cryptic Wintermoon - Thrashomatic Overdrive (http://download.yousendit.com/4C6850F03700B44D)
ok khar i hate to say this but you can seriously do better than that the first 20 seconds as hard rocking as they are should probably be titled variations on a theme metallica's one solo then it goes into the most generic sounding riff i've ever heard in my life with generic vocals to back it up, i would probably like it if it was slightly more original but it's jsut a complete rip off
*wait's for onslaught*
Stop being such a fucking twat. Jesus Christ... we don't all have to agree with you. He has every right not to like it, if you're not a fan of melodic punk then Bad Religion is probably not for you...
Christ man, think before you post.
Jesus Rizzo, please shut the fuck up. You must be the most emotionally stunted person in existence if you couldn't see that I was joking. Der Golem picked up on it. Think before you post.Excuse me for being unable to pick up the sarcasm in your text...
Oh flamey, you make my heart melt, take me now...
sorry dude, the wrong person reviewed this tune
The Bastard Fairies - Apple Pie

Hey, Moley, I bear no resentment for that review. You hear that, Rizzo? I bear no resentment toward this guy!Talk dirty to me.
To talk me dirty.
I managed to get him to pay me six bucks for a cup full of my piss.
Ewigkeit - The Thought Police (http://download.yousendit.com/826956EF1A93BD51)
