I can't believe the console's been out for a week and stupid people are already breaking shit.
-
I can't believe it took them that long. Frankly I didn't realize how stupid people could really be until I got a job where I had to deal with the public, so this doesn't surprise me at all. These are the same people who get killed in car accidents because they didn't wear seatbelts even though, y'know, the car manufacturers tell you to, safety laws tell you to, and many states REQUIRE you to.
-
1. Wrist straps are being replaced free of charge
2. Most of those accidents involved not putting on the wrist strap on as is shown on the screen
3. Dumb people sweating profusely shouldn't launch the wiimote forward as if hittinga baseball with a baseball bat, or trying hard to push the TV by moving air.

I once broke a SNES controller in fury. I was playing some harder than balls platformer or fighting game and kept smashing it on the ground when I lost. It was a third party controller, but I've been almost autistically obsessed with protecting my games, systems, and controllers ever since.
-
I predict that next year, because of all the broken tv complaints, Nintendo releases an add on unit for the Wii that emits a forceshield that repels Wii remotes.
-
A metal chain lanyard that wraps around the waist seems like a potentially profitable for third party remote makers. When I was little, I know my mom would've gotten one and forced me to wear it.

You know, when I first saw the Wii...i just -knew- there was going to be some kind of problem with it...it looks like wicked fun though!
