Ok, I have a question someone there might be able to answer.
What is the name of the classic rock song that sounds like it was played by a marching band on the version that is played on the radio. It has very little lyrics, but it is also a favorite band song to be played at games in colleges and universities. VERY POPULAR, infact I have yet to hear a band from any school not play it regularly. The lyrics in the Original version of the song Is something around this...I don't know if I got it right but "Don't say that you want me, just tell me that you need me"
It's a "classic rock" song...and possibly a one hit wonder...or at best two or three hits max by the band. That's all I know about it...

Night Ranger- "Don't Tell Me You Love Me"?
-
Although, if it's at a college game and played by a marching band you may be referring to Cheap Trick's "I Want You To Want Me"
-
Definately NOT night Ranger....I know cheap trick very well I would know it's not them. My Sharona, though mildly pedophillic doesn't have have a marching band backing it up...THE ORIGINAL SONG sounds EXACTLY like the arrangement played by bands at ball games. The best I can do is tell you who it's >NOT< and who it >MIGHT< be, it might be Focus, but I haven't been able to look them up too well. the only reason it might be focus is because it sounds odd enough to be something done by ythem..

it's "Storm The Gates" by Tenacious D
-
Older I'd guess early late 60's to early 80's I know I know that's like 15 - 20 years of music I'm talking about. But even the band director at my local University is having trouble thinking of this one.
-
Read in the Sufjam Stevens thread and you may be able to avoid this kind of pain again.
-
It's probably something by Emerson, Lake & Palmer or Styx. That's all our marching band ever played.
-
I will bet it is Gary Glitter!! Specifically Rock and Roll Part 2.
Allmusic will play you 30 seconds, which is enough to know if that's that song (http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p=amg&token=ADFEAEE47E18D24CAC7F20C6803650DDB57DEB36D151FE8F162C6A5DD3A13C49840138E253F89594EDA533E120FEA162A55810D1D5EC56FCDA2A3F378DEEAC62312E3A7B&sql=50:e70e4jo78w2w~T)

it's "Storm The Gates" by Tenacious D
I think "Kielbasa" would make more sense here. :-D
-
It's Spiderland by Slint.
-
don't you dare fucking start that again
-
Anal Cunt?
-
The ACTUAL answer is "Tusk" by Fleetwood Mac.
-
It's a "classic rock" song...and possibly a one hit wonder...or at best two or three hits max by the band.
dude, Fleetwood Mac were anything BUT one-hit wonders.
Also, the lyrics are actually "don't tell me you love me, just say that you want me."
-
It was such a unique song, I couldn't think of anyone that would have written save for a one hit wonder...THANK YOU, it's been making me nuts for about a month now.

ok, next question: there's this girl I used to know called Rosalyn. She was very thin and had a sexy voice, and later on she had a baby. My questions are twofold: 1) how did I know her? and 2) where is she now?
These are real questions, and they have been playing on my mind since the summer

It was your long lost sister that you ended up drunkenly inseminating....
