Heh, There is a reason why geeks like me partition our hdd's it's so if we don't like something about a particular install, we can delete and start over..it takes me about 20 minutes to completely reformat and reinstall winxp and get all my drivers/games up and running....Today, I will be trying out eXperience's TinyXP ver. 5 If you have any intrest in trying out tiny xp (runs hella fucking fast, on ANYTHING even that old PII w/ 128 megs of ram and a 2 gig hdd) DO NOT get the beast edition if you use a USB Laser mouse. Mine has this problem of freezing randomly, not that big of a deal really, until it happens when you are trying to 3v1 clutch on de_cpl_fire...yeah that shit sucks....it also seems to have intermittant (sp? too lazy to look it up) problems with dropping your net connection (may just be me...but still) not to mention that don't count on any settings you change staying that way when you reboot...
So I am trying TinyXP rev. 5, which supposedly passes the WGA tests...which would frankly be just the other side of FUCKING AWSOME! the WGA is the only reason I might have >ever< considered buying Windows....if this passes then I can get my DX10 and still be $200 heavier...

There, somebody gave you attention. Are you happy??
p.s. nobody cares about your computer.
-
Hey, shitfucker.... Read the whole message, It was to inform you of the errors in TinyXP Beastbuild.... NOW...if you wish I could tell you all where to get the most efficient version of XP, but that would be against my religion, namely the church of i pwn nubslauces....
-
Or, you know, we could google it and see that the second result for "tiny xp" is the one you were talking about. :-P
-
There is a reason people haven't taken to you, firestarter, and might just have something to do with your tendency to call people things like shitfucker at the drop of a hat. Maybe if you tried polite?

He was banned by jeph a few weeks ago for a month, so I don't know that he'll see your reply.
But the point stands.
-
Damnit, missed the date... Still, I might try out TinyXP next time I am wiping one of the ones here.

can anyone recommend a good program for opening .torrent files?

can anyone recommend a good program for opening .torrent files?
Azureus (java, cross platform) or ?Torrent (very light in memory usage)
edit: I notice somehow these boards or my browser fail at displaying 'weird' symbols here. In case you see ?Torrent, its the greek mu. Microtorrent
-
It's more commonly referred to as uTorrent, if the search isn't turning anything up. If you choose Azureus, watch out, it is a SERIOUS system hog. It's nice and everything, but it is quite quite RAM-intensive.
-
I use uTorrent, works fine. Light on the memory too, even though I don't use torrents too much.
-
I just use ABC (Another Bittorrent Client) which works pretty well for me...
Is there actually any reason we're talking about torrent clients in this thread? Just wonderin'
-
I guess it's more interesting than the actual topic.
-
Well, that works for me then!
