Title: Nintendo DS cover
Post by: humanoftheyear on 19 Dec 2006, 05:16: I made a cover for a DS that I ended up giving to someone for their birthday. Everyone else seemed to like it so I think I may get into the habit of making them a lot. 8-bit things are easy to cross stitch.

I have the same one too, only mine is purple because purple is clearly the superior color.

I like the stiching on it alot though the material of the bag/cover itself could be something better...

Technically your Mario is not cross-stitched; cross-stitch is where you plot uniform stitches in a grid and every two stiches makes a cross, hence the name. What you've done is (some awesome) free embroidery.

yeah, i started out x-stitching it but i messed up something horrible because it was my first time, so i completely covered the stitches "free hand"... thanks for the compliment though :)
