Does anyone here listen to them? Faraquet is often lauded on this board, but I never see anything about Medications. Medications is Devin Ocampo and Chad Molter of Faraquet with a new drummer (Chad played drums in Faraquet, but switches to bass for Medications). I personally think they're excellent. They basically pick up where Faraquet left off. Their sound is generally a little more bombastic, but it's still got that uneven let's-change-time-signatures-at-the-end-of-this-phrase feel and sound to it.

C'mon people, at least look them up on Myspace and tell me what you think.

Ever reliable is you.

Drumming is somewhat interesting, vocals are shite, songwriting is trying to be really annoying but hasn't quite got there yet, guitar is uninteresting, can't quite tell what the bass is doing...oh wait, yeah, bass is pretty standard. Overall, pretty dreck, but more interesting than the Arctic Monkeys I suppose.

Sorry I insulted metal.
Are the vocals shite because they are harmonious with the music rather than some dude wearing eye shadow croaking to blast beats?

My good sir, I'm being honest. The vocals sound like a pop punk band. Part of it may be I just don't like the accent, but there is some whine in there. If the vocals did harmonise with the music, that would be interesting, as the music isn't actually that harmonic. As it is, the vocals actually stick out somewhat awkwardly.
You're comments are really starting to get a bit dumb. Bear in mind that my fourth favourite vocalist of all time is the chick in the white dress (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x7QPBzAJ_io).

I'm sorry, Khar, but I just found it a bit funny that seemingly right after I insulted metal on that other topic, you come here and tell me you don't like Medications.

I picked up their full length back in February, it's got some great songs. A few somewhat dull moments but the moments of bombast more than even everything out. thumbs up!

I do find them to be a bit more pop-oriented than Faraquet, but I enjoy them a lot all the same. I'm getting their full length soon.
Also, I agree with Khar that the vocals do sound a bit like a pop-punk band, but I think that they work with the music.

You mean, harmonious? I'm sorry, I just don't think there's a specific formula for pop-punk vocals. I mean, Bad Religion is sometimes classified as a pop-punk band, but Greg Graffin's vocals sound a whole lot different from other pop-punk bands' vocals (i.e. NOFX, Rise Against. . .).
