Should be given a listen. I'm a little in love with their singer's voice.

If you are goiing to do a thread for a single name-drop, at least offer a description of the band and a link to some musics. Anything less is pretty much weak boarding.

I am not surprised that there is a band called the Holy Roman Empire. At this point it only makes me feel an elitist to history nerds in that it almost makes me cringe.


Be a little fucking creative, how about the Latin Empire or the Despotate of Epirus or something, at the very least.

I'm pretty much a weak boarder, so it fits.

I don't really know anything about music except what I like and what I don't, so a description by me would be pretty uninformative.

Really I'm not surprised. "The Holy Roman Empire" is a pretty ace band name.

Anyways, guys, the sound is very much alternative/punk. There's some cringey "look how awesome my guitar is" moments, but otherwise it sounds a little above average, which is good. Oddly enough a lot of the moments reminded me of the self-titled blink-182 album.

Oh, and the singer is a girl.


P.S. two things: one, i agree, "the ace" is the best track on there - but that's because they have, what, one album and this demo under their belt? so "the ace" is the sound of a band evolving which is always good to hear. two, not sure how well they'd do in the GIS game:

Well, maybe they really wanted to portray themselves as an agglomeration that is neither holy, nor Roman, nor an Empire?
