Sweet Child O' Mine and the epic end section of November Rain are BRILLIANT.

The rest is sounds about as good as one would imagine decaying feces smelling.

Actually, if there's any Guns N' Roses song with any redeeming qualities, it's undoubtedly Civil War.  Sweet Child O' Mine is one of the worst examples of music ever shitted out by anyone with a musical instrument.

Care to elaborate on your opinion though?

Aside from Axl's atrocious vocals and the stupid lyrics. That goes without saying, I mean this is GNR we're talking about.

The riffs are good, the bass work is melodic and tasty, and the solos are fucking great! Slash owns on this track. Even the vocals aren't THAT bad, especially when compared with other GNR "classics" *cough* welcometothejungle *cough cough*.
