I really like 3 inches of blood and would like some more bands similar to that epic kind of metal.
I know king diamond and judas preist are good, as is iron maiden. But I really need more music similar to 3ib
-
I would suggest Running Wild and Accept are probably the two best starting points.
Modify: Also, Helloween. Every fan of trad/power metal needs "Keeper of The Seven Keys pt. 1"
-
Am I supposed to reccommend The Replacements or is it not that kind of meme?
-
No Gryff. Although it is perfectly acceptable to recommend Anal Cunt. I recommend you do that
-
Yeah... I guess so...

Grindcore = Metal?
To the thread creator: UneXpect.

So Spiderland was just a flavor-of-the-week kinda thing?
-
So far all good. Except for the joke that gryff put. ass.
-
Kamelot are pretty good epic power metal.
If you like King Diamond check out Mercyful Fate he's original band I think they are about 10* better then he's solo stuff. "Melissa" and "Don't Break the Oath" are the two albums I'd reccomend.
Demons and Wizards are the best Power Metal band I've heard in a long time and you should definately check out the members other bands, Iced Earth and Blind Gaurdian.
Definately check out Bathory if you like Epicness, they pretty re-defined the word epic with "Twilight of the Gods".
-
Kamelot is by far my favorite power metal band. They pull off the style without any of the ridiculous cheese. Angra is also similar, but they incorporate some crazy tribal elements because they're Brazilian.
-
Ben, the Spiderland meme comes and goes sort of on its own terms.
-
It would be pretty self-serving of me to suggest the band that I want to suggest, so I'm going to restrain myself.
-
Anthraaaaaaaaax.
-
Anthrax once made an alliance with a rap group in order to create metal-rap...
Ashbone white seemed to be a band Steve Harris really liked... perhaps it might interest you too

Well, okay, but they collaborated with Public goddamn Enemy. There is no trash to be talked about a collaboration like that. Both groups were at the height of their powers at the time.
-
Surely, in theory, a collaboration of the sort abovementioned would suck, but, fuck it ROCKS. so thus it shall no longer be derided upon ain of death.

I think you mean Wishbone Ash

The Lord Weird Slough Feg. Which is now known as Slough Feg.
