I still want one....

Possibly the coolest thing since sliced bread, I think.
-
That is fairly impressive.
When he builds one that can play my (scarily large) collection of original GameBoy games, THEN I'll buy one.

Nintendo rules forever *metal hand*

You could potentially fit the necessary circuitry into the same case WITH an iPod WITH a slot for the game cartridge if you really wanted to. Run it with power from the iPod itself if you wanted. How you'd get it to show up on the same screen is beyond me though.
If somebody does that though, I WILL have sex with them.

I seem to remember Darryl wanting to make my old NES light gun into an mp3 player. We need to get that done, fo'real.
Is there any way to contact this guy? I have an iPod and one or two old Game Boys..
-
Yeah, the only problem I'd have with the prospect of doing this would be the total destruction of a perfectly stock original Game Boy.
-
That looks badass, but isn't the point of having an iPod to have a small, small, small MP3 player??
-
I think you'd be able to use a shared screen if you get the circutry all wired up properly - but you'd probably need to fuse a little switch to crossover the signals whenever you want to use one or the other. Which would be a pain in the ass. This would also take way more time than I'd be willing to spend (even if KimJongSick sex is at stake)
-
Damn right Shane.
POW POW POW POW POW
Since my old mp3 player broke, I now have something to work with.
GET ME A LIGHT GUN! G-con 45 prefered.

We wired my old Light Gun with the pieces of an old camera, so it set off a camera flash whenever you pulled the trigger. Painfully annoying, and thus destroyed by an angry, and relatively blind large Irishman.

Not to mention voiding the warranty on your iPod. That would really suck if it died and you'd done that.

no he says it's been designed to be removaable you just need to buy a new one of those cords to plug into your computer
