Have you heard of Wolfmother? If so what do you think? Rate from 1-10, and comment please.
-
I like 'em. Classic-stlyed rock is good. :)
7 or 8 I guess.
Also
-
i personally like them because they have a semi understandable set of lyrics.
i give them a 9.0
-
I give them a 5
-
You know what I give a 0/10? When people type on a message board and highlight their messages in red.
-
I give them a 5. They are a fun band to watch. But when you listen to them, it just sounds the one song revamped.
They have two songs with a chorus along the lines of "come and see the *blank blank* we can *blank* if we *blank*
one is minds eye, the other has atleast the same phrasing.
-
I like them their pretty unoriginal but they keep me interested, they were pretty good live too. One of the few bands me and my flat mate both enjoy, our tastes are radically different...
-
I don't mind them. They're derivative, but pretty alright. I just dont like that bands rehashing old ideas are capable of getting more attention than bands are aren't just filling up a nostalgic niche in music.
Also I dont like the production on their album. Songs that I really liked on their EP like Dimension seemed to be put through some kind of wrangler on their self-titled full length.
I'm not going to give them a rating out of 10 though because thats fucking retarded.

How someone else rates a band tells you more about that person than the band.
-
Wolfmother are a pretty average Led Zeppelin tribute band as far as I can tell. Out of ten? I guess a four or something?
-
I give 'em a "Zo" out of "so."
-
if you spell plz "please", maybe i'll tell you i give them a 6.5.
wait. oops.
-
I give them an absolutely awful out of 10.
-
i gove them a eulers numbver out of pi (for non mathematicians about 2.718/3.141)
there a half decent band but got overplayed and quite frankly there are better bands doing the same thing...check out dallas crane i compel you
btw what do you mean by have we heard of them?
-
They were fun for a bit. Now I'm pretty well over them.
-
Meh.
I haven't listened to them enough to really give a qualified opinion, but what little I have heard of them came off as pretty meh.
-
I love 'em. Highly recommended.

I'm curious. How does my rating system reflect on me as a person? I mostly rate bands by frantic body language and expressions when talking about them.
-
i don't really like them. maybe it's because i have classic rock assaulting my ears nearly every day of my life. i thought they were Hot Hot Heat the first time i saw their music video for "Woman".

... I mean that if someone says they give a band a 9 or four stars, it means that they like that band, more than it means that band is good.
In direct contrast to such a quantifiable rating system the person might describe the band, or their live performance, which would tell you more about the music (and whether you yourself would like it) than an arbitrary number.
Your rating system suggests that you are inarticulate.

So's your face

I can't beat most Guitar Hero songs on beginner, but I can rock Woman on expert for some reason.
I am ambivalent about the band itself.
-
I love em, saw them live a couple of week backs. Great show. Great crowd. They've got some very catchy riffs.
But yeah, you could say they're a tribute band to some of the rock classics, although they play all their own songs, they're very much in the style of zepellin and sabbath.
On the other hand .. that's what I like, but you know. whatever floats your boat.
Also:
-
I didn't mean to offend anyone via my rating system so i'll change it.
so if you don't mind post if u like them or not, and then why or why not. Ok?
Thank you for posting!
-
i like them. they've got a classic rock feel to them, which is probably my favorite part about them. they aren't one o fmy favorites, but i do like listening to them every once in a while. Where Eagles Have Been is a good song. Woman is getting to be played a bit too often though.
-
I like Tales (or Tales From The Forest Of Gnomes, depending on your location)
-
WOMAN!
BLAUGALHA WOMAN!
MRGGGRAAAA WOMAN!
My opinion on this band is basically the same as Mike Patton's.
-
He's not God, you know.
-
You've been reading my blog.
-
What the hell's Patton's opinion?
-
I've been into your stuff since Destination: Hell.
-
Aaah, right. Thanks. See I miss out on these things because of the whole not worshipping thing.
-
Not many people care about Mike Patton anymore.
-
Oh no, not shooters!
-
I give them a very small number out of 10 because I know that Gryff and Inlander know their shit.
-
MY MOM TOOK ME TO SEE THEM OPEN FOR GUHHHHHNS N' ROSES.
Anyways Wolfmother don't really impress me but I will give them credit for this: "Woman" is immensely fun to play on your guitar.
-
To put it this way: I'd rather see them on MTV than Angels and Airwaves.
