Here is a comic I just don't understand. It's hailed by brilliant by Jeph, among others, but I just don't get the humor. Is it even supposed to be funny?

What the hell am I missing?

Yea...I just did a little perusal of it, and...You're not alone.  :| It seems to concist of scat jokes, which...err...unless you're into scat, I don't think you're gonna find funny, and even then, I don't think you'll find it very amusing.

I'd really like to see a little phase of time - perhaps a week or two - where Jerkcity pulls a "Picnic of Love".

It's made with an old MS Comic Chat program that more or less acted like an IRC channel with cartoons, and was very buggy.  If you look up Jerkcity on wikipedia, it'll have a link to an article about the program used.

I personally think the comic is hilarious.  Why?  I'm not entirely sure.  I'm pretty sure a lot of it has to do with stock facial expressions that are usually out of place for what's being said.  (expample (http://www.jerkcity.com/jerkcity2288.html) that I find particularly funny)

Brilliant?  No.  Funny, yes.  Why, don't know.  Maybe it's just the absurdity of dicklicking jokes in general.

There really is nothing deeper to get.  It's just a stupid, idiotic webcomic that some people with really twisted senses of humors laugh at.  I can't tell you how often on Battlefield 2142 that I'll just spam HULGAHALUGHLUAGHLUALGHUGA or something after making fun of someone for "playing like a fag" (or so I have a habit of saying towards people who I think are playing particularly scoundrelly).

Holy god this is awesome. I should not be laughing at shit penis jokes or LOL MURDERED PROSTITUTES or whatever, and if I think for a second about it I don't. But that 0.999 of a second before the 'wait a minute, this isn't funny' kicks in is pure gold.
