this song is pretty damn amazing.  the music video is fantastic.

The rest of the album is really solid.  The most solid all around release battles have done.  I plan on seeing them at the Empty Bottle in chicago.  I am excited.  I honestly think that seeing them live is going to make me appreciate their recorded work even more.

This is some really interesting stuff.  I love Don Cab, so this is right up my ally.  Thanks.

Edit: I just listened to it.  Awesome.  I will probably buy this when it comes out.  Any recommendations on other Battles stuff to get?

Well, they've only got one other album, EP C/B EP, so go for that.

It is pretty tight.  I love how it begins; 'Race: In' is a great track.

Yup,  pretty much one of my favorite albums to come out in the last few years.  I had to miss them at the Empty Bottle and I am playing a show the night they are playing Pitchfork so I am kinda bummed.  I just imagine the live show to be even more fantastic than the studio work.

The stuff they do with looping pedals is amazing.  I have seen a lot of people who are suprised that this came out on Warp Record but it is a total fit.  It is all loop based music.  The only difference is that the loops are made by instruments other than a computer or synthesizer. The way the songs are arranged and constructed isnt that much different than an Apex Twin song or any other IDM song.

The drumming on this record is fraking amazing.    That is all.

Man, it's not like Warp has a house sound...

I was pretty disappointed by this album.  I preferred the collected EPs, but I feel like I should give this more of a chance.

Yeah dudes Maximo Park are signed to Warp for goodness sake.

I've heard such good things about this record that I have no choice but to try and find it.

I understand that Tyondai Braxton, Anthony Braxton's son is playing there. This is more then enough for me to try and track down this album.

I'm only on my first listen of the album, and I've yet to really get all the greatness of it.  Maybe it will reveal itself with repeated listens?  It's not bad by any means, it just doesn't really grab me, not like a lot of other things I've heard so far this year.  But then, we'll see what time does with it.
