Okay, so this is one of the rare albums I just picked up without doing any research or testing out a few songs before actually buying it cause I thought, well I love animal collective and mum so hell, it must be good.
Needless to say it was quite shocking to hear the whole damn thing is in reverse, so I looked some stuff up and found out that some people have found reveresed (corrected) versions of the whole album, just wondering if anyone has a link or something to it as iam curoius to hear what this album could have been.

Albums don't just get recorded backwards onto the cd or anything. I'd imagine the fact that it's backwards is completely intentional and this is the 'correct' way to hear it. Considering it's got something to do with members of the Animal Collective and Mum it's not that surprising.
If you really must hear it in the other orientation it can't be hard to do it yourself. Rip it, import it into Audacity (http://audacity.sourceforge.net/), use the reverse function that I assume is there (hell, even that little sound recorder can do it iirc) and hit play.

Yeah if you read interviews with Avey Tare he explains that reversing it won't even work properly. Parts are sped up and slowed down, the pitch is altered, vocals are missing - it sounds more natural reversed!

Fuck that, I have both the reversed (released) and forward (recorded, with the pitch and speed altered accordingly) versions and the forward kicks all kinds of backwards ass. What I'm trying to say is I'll upload it here and the sendspace thread for you to enjoy.

Yeah I have a pitch and Speed corrected forwards version as well, but I think the backwards one is a lot more fun, and completely hella way mad spooky.

tbh imo honestly, I only enjoyed Sis Around The Sandmill (especially how you hear Kria say "sis around the sandmill" amongst the weirdy weird) and Foetus No-Man on the reverse version, but that's just my honest opinion.

I'm listening to it now. Pretty fucking scary stuff. Interesting though. I heard reversing the record was done after seeing the new David Lynch film Inland Empire.
