Okay, I've been wanting to do this for a long time, but basically, tell me what to put on a compilation for ballads or great sing-alongs, kind of like what you would see on those late night informercials! I'm thinking 80s, 90s ballads, but I am definitely putting Journey on there.
1) Harry Nilsson - Without You
2) Journey - Don't Stop Believin'
Go! Also, if you actually upload your songs, I'd appreciate it. Soulseek is not liking me right now.
-
Cyndi Lauper - 'Time After Time'
"The only ballad you'll ever need!"

And they were singing,
"bye-bye, miss american pie."
Drove my chevy to the levee,
But the levee was dry.
And them good old boys were drinkin’ whiskey and rye
Singin’, "this’ll be the day that I die.
"this’ll be the day that I die."
I was on a ski trip bus when this came on the radio. Everyone screamed the chorus.

Wait, wait, wait a minute. This isn't a ballad compilation, this is a power-ballad compilation! That's a totally different prospect altogether.
I WASH MY HANDS OF THIS PROJECT.

I uploaded Starship - Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now just because I found it on an oooold CD recently and it brought back so many memories.
A friend and I used to love it when we were kids, and we'd play with Barbies and Action Men, and they'd always be in a band, and in our head, they'd play this song. We'd sing along and I get all embarrassed just remembering it now and the song is rather horrendous, but it was fun back then.

This is a fun song to sing as a duet! Meatloaf - Paradise by the Dashboard Light (http://www.mediafire.com/?0ihwhdmgkmf)
As tommy suggested, Total Eclipse of the Heart (http://www.mediafire.com/?6fmnf4zjw2y) by the lovely Bonnie Tyler.
Courtesy of Gryff, Time After Time (http://www.mediafire.com/?4txd47izynn).
And if you haven't had enough sap, Wind Beneath My Wings (http://www.mediafire.com/?bomun2jgm0c) is glorious.
Also, Ladybug: my cousin and I used to do the same thing, except instead of Barbies we used Lego men, and instead of Starship we would sing along to Weird Al.

-
"You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins.
"Can You Feel The Love Tonight" by Elton John.
-
Gotta have some R.E.M. in there somewhere. And if you want a slightly heavier ballad go for Fade to Black or Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.
-
Bohemian Rhapsody. Everyone sings along to this song. And it starts off ballad-like. But yeah, you need that one.
-
Piano Man?
-
"You'll Be In My Heart" by Phil Collins.
"Can You Feel The Love Tonight" by Elton John.
Yes.
-
Why in gods name has no one mentioned Slaughter's "Fly to the Angels?" Perhaps the cheesiest/best/most emotional/worst power ballad ever.
-
"I'm the One Who Wants to Be With You" - Mr. Big
"Don't Treat Me Bad" - Firehouse
