Title: I need help making a concert decision...

I'm poor now that school is starting, so I can only afford one concert ticket this Friday when two concerts I want to go to go on sale.

In other words, help me kill the baby I love the least.

I threw in the Black Crowes because their tickets open then too, and I figure some of you have to make a smart ass comment or you'll live your life unfulfilled.

I saw the Flaming Lips back in 2004 and it's still the best concert I've ever been to. Even though it was at a hot stinking festival populated by rednecks, even though I now hate the person I attended the concert with, even though the music they actually played wasn't that great in quality - just thinking about it again puts a big ol' smile on my face.

Avoid this one only if you have a phobia of balloons.

Flaming Lips are widely regarded as one of the best live bands around, so go with them.

I'm going to be like everyone else and say the Flaming Lips. I saw them last summer and it was a lot of fun even though someone accidentally batted one of the giant balloons into the back of my head!

Regina is pretty good, but like eeeeeveryone else, I'm going to suggest the Flaming Lips. Because it's a SPECTACLE. Both would be a decently expensive ticket and you might as well get some sweet visuals for your buck as well.

This is going to be an unpopular suggestion but you should probably not go to any of them. All three of those bands, by my very subjective judgement, are all really unimpressive and dull.

I've heard nothing but good things about their shows, and it's one of my lifetime goals to get to see them at least once.
