I need the line on a good (and at least partially free) WMV to MPEG conversion program. Any suggestions?

I used the free trial of this software (http://www.video-tool.com/) to convert some files to wmv so I could play them on 360/TV.  It worked well for that, and it allows conversion between pretty much all the common video formats.

VIRTUAL DUB, COCKSOCKER (http://www.virtualdub.org/)

It does WMV and MPEG, and everything else you could possibly want, down to zipping your pant back up for you.
