As you can probably tell from my new avatar, I'm on a bit of a Firefly/Serenity kick... so, Browncoats, have any cool stuff related to the 'verse you wanna share/ brag about?

Ws Blue Sun really in the travel business ? I got the impression they were military science/weapons manufacturers.
-
Blue Sun was involved in pretty much everything from the military, to medical technology, to basic consumer goods like coffee and canned foods... even alcohol. if you look for it, the logo is everywhere in the show and movie. so, i think the makers of the the posters just supposed that they would have a travel division as well.
-
I am overdue for re-watching my DVDs anyway, I should keep an eye out. Only places I remembered seeing it was on Jayne's shirt, and military stuff.
-
Oh man, the logos show up a lot of places (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Sun). I remember one episode where Blue Sun showed up on cans of food, and River reacted badly. There was this whole theory that Blue Sun had masterminded River's programming and that their logo triggered her psychotic episodes. It was very plausible, but ultimately I think Firefly's cancellation may have prevented it from coming to fruition. The comic book which is supposed to bridge the series and the movie, and where the men with blue hands are killed off and Inara is dropped off, made no mention of Blue Sun. (It also sucked).
The posters look great though!
-
actually, joss cofirmed the theory that blue sun and the "hands of blue" guys were connected with river.
-
Where did you get these beautiful objects? I want them!
-
I remember I got real drunk once and bought a stockmans coat and wore it around for about a week afterwards cussing at people in chinese.
Also, the Serenity RPG is really cool! Except nobody will play it with me.
-
damn, I can't find the cool looking Firefly Kubricks that someone made
oh, and now I want to make a fruity oaty bar (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7idn3PcKBM)

Those travel posters are the cat's pyjamas! Some of them remind me of old sci-fi movie posters.
I've got a Blue Sun logo t-shirt I screen printed myself. Photo-emulsion silkscreen ftw! Maybe I'll post a picture later...
-
Man, I'd love some of those posters! Well all of them. Gah!
-
i'm going to frame them and them up in my office. it'll make going to work fun, and i'll get weird looks from my co-workers!
-
Cafepress has a ton of fanmade firefly gear. I'm thinking about a Blue Sun shirt. I have a friend who bought a hat that quotes Mal on the chain of authority, and it being the chain he beats you with.
It's a shame that Joss said he wouldn't want to continue the series if given the chance. Poor Joss.
At least there won't be any potential for complete destruction upon seventeen seasons like with his other show, which I never liked from the beginning.

There is this http://www.abbyshot.com/products/ps-firefly-browncoat.php (http://www.abbyshot.com/products/ps-firefly-browncoat.php)

Now I feel incompetent and undeserving of Firefly. I guess I'm going to go make a blog now.

Yeah, everything gets talk of being made into an MMO these days.
What ever happened to the Trigun MMO? Or the Cowboy Bebop MMO?
Or the Star Wars MMO? I mean, it's a good thing that one never panned out, because unless you set it in the post-Empire EU or in the universe of the Old Republic, it would pretty much be a disaster.
-
That article was dated almost a year ago.
-
Ozy, they made the Star Wars MMO. It was shite. It got shitter.

It's a shame that Joss said he wouldn't want to continue the series if given the chance. Poor Joss.
He didn't say that!!
Whedon's response to the rumor consequently sparked many websites to publish articles stating that he would never work on a sequel to Serenity. Joss again returned to Whedonesque.com to respond to the new stories and wrote, "Holy Mother of Oats! I turn my back for five minutes (that's how long it takes to admire my lovely back) and the interweb goes banoonoos! Isn't there any ACTUAL news to get wrong? Sorry about all this; it might be best if I just stay off the computer for a while....Here's a thing: when Firefly was cancelled, my heart got broke. Sounds a bit much, but it changed me. Not even Serenity could patch that wound. I'm wearier, warier -- after all those years as a movie writer, you'd think I'd be prepared for another lesson on my unimportance in the scheme of things, but I wasn't....All these rumor of projects or the death of projects... When the two worlds align and something actually happens, whatever it is, you guys know I'll be on this site as soon as I'm allowed to be. And I'll be very very clear. There is no news. Not never, just now."[87]
Also:
It has been recently confirmed that Joss Whedon will re team with Brett Matthews to write Serenity: Better Days for Dark Horse comics to be released in the fall of 2007 as we see what happens when a heist goes right and the crew finds themselves on easy street. "This new story will take place in the 'Firefly' years i.e., everyone's alive," says Whedon. "Basically, they pull off a heist and everything doesn't go completely wrong. This, needless to say, has never happened, and it's about how they deal with success."
I hope so!!
But check whedonesque out.

I'm skeptical about these new comics, the other firefly comics were pretty shit.
