Almost Famous: better than I thought it would be. Although I did realize that Jason Lee is quite possibly the most one note actor I've ever seen, because he talks and acts exactly the same no matter what role he's playing.

EDIT - Damn, I was going to add This Is: Spinal Tap as well, but I didn't see someone beat me to it because my school's internet shite, and it took forever to load that image.

Easily the best film about a band, and one of the better documentaries, I have ever had the pleasure to see. Get this as soon as it comes out. Even if you're not a huge Sigur Ros fan, the film is beautiful enough to make it worth seeing.

DiG! annoys me. It unfairly and inaccurately portrayed The Brian Jonestown Massacre (as much as I love The Dandy Warhols).

DiG! annoys me. It unfairly and inaccurately portrayed The Brian Jonestown Massacre (as much as I love The Dandy Warhols).

It portrayed Anton Newcombe as a lunatic and Courtney Taylor-Taylor as a primadonna.

How this is inaccurate is beyond me.

[I cannot find an image for Renaldo and Clara, which is another "Dylan concert video" -- almost]
[Interestingly enough, in just over a month and a year in England and about 8 months here in the US, a movie based on Mamma Mia, which is a musical based on the songs of ABBA, will be released. Like Renaldo and Clara, band antics are really not the most important part of the movie, though]
[Also, probably a bunch of stuff from Disney and Nick, but I don't think anyone reading this forum would be that into a Hannah Montana movie anyway. I don't blame you.]

Hell yes! One Morning I was making breakfast in my house and watching this movie after having partied pretty hard the night before.  One of my friends turned to me and said I totally used to masturbate to this movie.

Terrible name, but it's a pretty decent overview and history of the music we call punk rock. It's necessarily incomplete.  It'd be 9 hours long if they tried to talk to/about everyone that SHOULD be in it.

Anyone seen Control yet?

Apparently I won some free tickets to it, so I'm pretty keen to find out that it's not crap.

*Joe Strummer*

I saw it last week. I quite liked it, but then I'm a huge Clash fan and not overly critical when it comes to movies. The overuse of celebrities giving their two cents on Joe Strummer gets a bit much, though. Especially when people like John Cusack and Johnny Depp pop up.

The best part about that film is the tribute soundtrack that included a track by Sleater-Kinney with Fred Schneider.
