Okay kids, who is up for it this year?
I registered today and is my first try at NaNoWriMo. I am registered as Jmrz over at the site. I have practically nothing this month except a little bit of work. I have two exams left and aside from that, I have nothing. So I am going to try and write my 1666 words a day or whatever it figures out to.
Good luck to those that are going to participate!

While I would love to try for the heck of it, I just do not have the time.
-
I -would- try, as I am sure that I could do it with no problem...but a time-constriction just makes me nervous. Besides, I've finished...like...omg, four novel-length stories in the last five years. Why should I have to conform to a month-deadline?
BUT, people do NaNoWriMo and succeed are 9 kinds of awesome, and all the power too them. Good luck!

Why should I have to conform to a month-deadline?
To stretch your skills as a quick thinker, and also to enjoy yourself.
I'm in. I just have nothing to write about :/
-
I've been signed up for about a month as Gemmwah (http://www.nanowrimo.org/user/202603), and I'm really looking forward to tomorrow. I'm gonna get in from work and do about three days worth of writing because I'm away this weekend. All in all, it's gonna be awesome, I just have to wait for inspiration to strike.

OK I AM JOINDERED UP
NOW WHAT AM I WRITING
PLEASE DISCUSS.
-
It has to have bats. Lots of bats.
-
And zombies. Lots of zombies.
-
Actually, mine was going to be post-apocalyptic. That's my specialty. Zombies may be on the plate for this adventure. I did once write a graphic novel on the topic - this makes me an expert.

I forgot November is NaNoWriMo. :( Seeing as today is the first and I didn't sign up yet, I fail.
BUT
I am going to write something this month because I haven't written anything in a long time and I need to else I will get rusty. So I'm told.

NOT
TOO
LATE
-
Oh and anyone who puts their name down with a link to their profile, I will add as a buddy. We can do this guys!
I am Jmrz! (http://www.nanowrimo.org/user/236455)

Last semester, I couldn't wait till november... i really wanted to give it a go this year, had (still have) several workable ideas... but now I'm theoretically studying at 200% and working every shift I can, so no NaNo I guess :(
But I'll be following your progress with great interest :o

Oh, didn't notice this thread. I'm doing this for the first time as well. Currently 4.2 k done.

Good luck to all striving for NaNo glory.

I will look this up later and see if I'll have the time to do it. It sounds awesome.
-
I signed up on the website, but I don't think it's really feasible for me to try it. I have a ten page paper to write already, and work nearly every day, but I do want to give it a shot. So what if I only get a few thousand words? I'm going to at least write a short story!
-
Rise from your grave
Well I won!
did anyone else make it?
-
I did it the last two years, and only got 10,000 words in every time, so I'm not going to bother this year.
Last year I did some soap-opera thing I just made up on the fly. It was kinda crazy. The main character had a frog who lived in his pants that would sometimes jump out and eat someone whole.
-
Axerton, that's awesome! Can you post a link to your work or something? I want to read it.
-
Yeah, I intended to do this, but school and work got in the way so it just didn't happen. I know a few people that made it, though, so hurray for them!
-
i think i got around 500 words on my laptop because i just did not have time to do it. now i do have time, but only two hours until my deadline's up, so really i lose. maybe i'll have another shot next year, but this year it was just really poorly timed for me.
