Title: More Phoenix Live Music
Post by: Chad K. on 06 Nov 2007, 10:58
This Saturday my band, Thankful Birds, is playing the Third Annual Certified Local Fall Fest at 1651 East Camelback.  It's a festival featuring local Arizona businesses.  To answer your question- there will be a beer garden featuring Four Peaks Brewery for the older folks.  To answer your second question, the bands are all independent, all cool, and all over the map - from americana and roots rock, to jazzy rock, to blues.  Here's the lineup-

10 AM Nowhere Man and a Whiskey Girl (www.http://www.myspace.com/bisbeenmwg)
11 AM Thankful Birds                           (http://www.myspace.com/thankfulbirds)
12 PM Mikel Lander                              (http://www.myspace.com/mikellander)
1 PM Try Me Bicycle                             (http://www.myspace.com/trymebicycle)
2 PM Sonny AZ                                   (http://www.myspace.com/sonorousjazz)
3 PM Loose Cannons Blues Band            (http://home.att.net/~loosecannonsbluesband)

As you can see, we're a little early, so any support you guys can muster is extremely appreciated!

Thanks much,
Chad

Awesome, guys.  Should you feel so inclined, please say "hi".  I'll be the almost medium-height guy with the bass in Thankful Birds sucking on an all too early pint of Kilt Lifter.

Umm... just occurred to me... For you non-Phoenecians, "Kilt Lifter" is an amber ale brewed by Four Peaks Brewing company in the Phoenix Valley.  Therefore, sucking on said Kilt Lifter, or saying "hmm.. Kilt Lifter..." in no way implies an affinity for lewd and/or lascivious behavior. Rather, it is an homage to a fine hand-crafted beverage.  Sorry for any confusion... umm... carry on.

YES!

Great music by the Thankful Birds and others.  Great Ale.  Great time.  Glad we were there.

I will keep an eye on your schedule, Chad.

Oh, yes.  And great food, too.

Oh, yes again:

Celtic geek- Thanks to both you and your wife for coming out. If anybody else showed and was too shy to say "hi", thanks to you as well.  For now, our next show is Decemeber 7 at the Paper Heart. Thanks again!
