Let me introduce you to Lemuria, quite possibly the most perfect indie-pop/punk band ever.

 They are to be loved.
-
				Sorry, I'm straight. <3

-
I don't think Sheena is ready for a relationship right now. Sorry bro, I tried. But don't worry! I set you up with Joey Erg instead!

 I really love this band.
-
				I like it very much

				Eh.

-
Thermals are better.  And if you want pop punk with a girl singing, Zolof the Rock & Roll Destroyer are better too.

But this band is OK i guess.
-
and on the other hand, I think the Thermals are actually pretty boring. Hey, look how that works!

-
Yeah, there's only one Thermals song I can really get into.

And if YOU want pop-punk with a girl singer, listen to Fifth Hour Hero.  Or Discount.  Zolof's overrated.
-
Yeah, there's only one Thermals song I can really get into.

Oh, so I guess you're into their entire discography?

 ZING
-
Damn, Kai, you spiked that one.  Props.

-
Yeah, there's only one Thermals song I can really get into.

Oh, so I guess you're into their entire discography?

 ZING

That's pretty true, but still, it's a good song.

And as for Zolof, they are really really good live.  Fifth Hour Hero are good I guess,I gave 'em a listen, but I'm not super into her voice..
-
Zolof are terrible. They should not be getting mentioned in a thread with the superb Lemuria, who are indeed very great. I'm sad I missed them when they played here. The Thermals are thoroughly unremarkable too, I just investigated them and the only good thing was when they made me want to listen to Marked Men instead, who're great.

There is some really great female fronted pop-punk out there at the moment even if Fifth Hour Hero are gone (but at least they went out with sheer class). I really wish This Is My Fist would write another song even vaguely as good as the superb Story Of Reconversion. I'd also like it if Tatako (http://www.myspace.com/tatako) would play more gigs I can get to, I really like that band even if they are so pop they make The Ergs sound like Man Is The Bastard.
