my parents got me a new mp3 player for Christmas, the thing is that it's pretty much just that. I have some (music) files that I bought from the iTunes store.
Two problems here, firstly they are .m4a which is solved easily enough. The second, they are protected so I can't change the format.
Is there any way I can put these onto the mp3 player by removing the protection stuff?

Isn't it a little early to be opening Christmas presents?
I just Googled "remove + itunes + DRM" and got about 100,000 hits. Go nuts.

I use a mac, so everytime I want to do something, I ask mac freeware what software does what I want to do. It finds something, without fail! I even find some freeware there to change my startup noise!
This isn't an option if you're not a mac user...

Thanks, I tried that and this, http://hymn-project.org/ , is looking positive.
P.S: Not too early to open presents where I am.
