These questions are worded a little funny, as they seem to assume a person either plays guitar or bass, when they may play both; and, also seem to assume that person only owns one guitar or bass and one amp when they may own several.  That said-

Yes - Both, mainly bass.

Mainly electric basses, but I own an acoustic.  I own both acoustic and electric for guitars.

I did not buy my bass amp or guitar amp at the same store where I bought any of my guitars or basses.

wording could be better, I guess. Typically, though, most people don't have guitars and basses and a multitude of amps for each.

Both.

If yes, what type of guitar/bass?

I own several guitars. At one point I bought a guitar and amp from the same store at the same time.

Optional:

If you answered yes, why?
Because they did me a deal and they had the guitar I wanted and an amp I really liked.

Bassist, electric.  Aslin-Dane p-bass.  I got both the bass and the amp from the same store because it was a package deal I got since a relative of mine knew the owner of the store.

Guitarist (if you can call me that).
Both acoustic and electric.
I got my electric guitar and amp from the same store, but not at the same time (amp was an Xmas gift).
Why?
They were both the best deals for what I needed and they just happened to be at the same store.

i'm a classicaly trained celloist who switched to a bass

electric (i guess)

why? iono, everyone and his little brother was playin the guitar (not very well mind you) and switching from the cello
to the bass is relatively easier in tone just tuned differently (a cello is C-G-D-A while a bass is EADG)

Yeah.

If you answered yes, why?
We live in a small-ish town, so we could have either gone to the one music store we had, or bought a cheap amp/bass package from Wal-Mart. We opted for the music store.
