I just watched Lobster Man from Mars and fell in love. http://lobstermanfrommars.com for the trailer.
Can anyone recommend old movies that look stupid but actually end up being very fun and entertaining?

Invasion of the Body Snatchers is excellent, even without the anti-communist/anti-McCarthy sentiments.
-
Anything produced by Roger Corman is gold.
-
The Marx Brothers are very fun and entertaining without even looking stupid at first. Duck Soup and A Night At the Opera are my recommendations.
The Thing From Another World is a classic. And the all-time winner is definitely Reefer Madness.

anything by Ed Wood
Plan 9 From Outer Space, in particular. Bela Lugosi filmed one scene then proceeded to die; his character for the rest of the movie is some random guy hiding his face pretending to be Bela. it's hilarious.
-
The Time Machine is a really good film. I also second the Marx Brothers suggestion. Oh, and the old Danny Kaye films are great too.

Teenagers from Outer Space. Features lobsters as giant alien creatures. Death rays that turn people into science class skeletons. Good time.

How old are we talking about? Because I can think of a few great movies from the 60s to early 80s.
And what about The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra? It was made in 2004, but is made to be a parody of sci-fi movies of the 50s, and is set in 1961. It's pretty great, and cheesy.

That is a fantastic movie.
In that same line, The Giant Gila Monster and Bloodlust are two nice cheesy horror flicks from the '50s.
I agree with the Marx Brothers, and add on the 3 Stooges and Laurel and Hardy.

Kronos 1957
A film about a giant robot attacking earth. The giant robot basically looks like a TV on top of a refrigerator though, so its pretty funny. It also has one of the best lines (in my opinion) ever. "I may have just committed the biggest scientific boner of all time!", or something very close to that.
On a slightly replated topic, I know a lot of people on these forums are familiar with the George Washington video off ebaums world, so anyway some thing was on TV the other day and I heard the line "George Washington is a mobile fortress" and i couldn't help thinking of that video

Attack of the Giant Leeches is a gem...so is The Killer Shrews!
Quite a bit more recent, but you cant go wrong with Killer Klowns From Outer Space. Another BEAUTIFUL one from roughly the same time period is Dark Heritage. Good luck finding a copy of it anywhere but the internet, but if you can track it down its more than worth it. Its not really very good per se, but it has a magic all its own.
Oh! Dungeon of Harrow! That one is my Halloween night staple, I watch it every year. Its old, cheesy, god awful - and without a doubt among my favorite movies.
Man, I could go on with this for hours....

Hell of the Living Dead. Has Nude Anthropology and Crossdressing!

Have you seen Rats: Night of Terror? Hell of the Living Dead is awesome, but IMO Rats is Bruno Mattei's finest hour, haha.

Sadly, no, I only saw the trailer.
