So, I broke the neck of my acoustic, and I don't know what to do. I'm thinking I might as well just buy this Taylor I've been looking at. I think replacing the neck would be as expensive, and I don't know what gluing the neck back together would do to the sound/feel.
Help, please?
The damage:

They're kind of blurry, I apologize, but I went snowboarding today, and I am wiped. My hands were shaking with rage when I was taking these pictures.

Ouch, thats pretty bad. At least its a clean break, right? :|
(I often punch babies, but that does not reflect upon my angriness)
-
It looks like a clean break.

I have no idea about guitars, but I heard clean breaks are easy to repair.

Good job!
You can get that sucker glued back together. It shouldn't sound or play any different if the luthier does a good job.
I live in fear of dropping my Firebird on its headstock.

Babies deserve it. Those smug bastards with their public urination and lack of footwear...

I think it would be pretty satisfying to punch a baby.
On topic: Best advice is not to touch it, until you get it to a luthier. It doesn't look that bad
though, but ask the man if it'd be better to just buy a new guitar. Might have fucked the truss rod up.

Frets.com is a really good site for guitar repairs.
This (http://frets.com/FRETSPages/Luthier/Technique/Structural/BrokenHeadstocks/LongBreak/longbreak.html) article or this one (http://frets.com/FRETSPages/Luthier/Technique/Structural/BrokenHeadstocks/NeckCrack/neckcrack.html) might come in handy.
On the subject of pain to younger children. One of the funniest things i ever saw was a toddler trip up and smack its head off the pavement. You could hear the screams before it even hit the ground. Me and my friends had to walk on very quickly.

I laughed at that post, and now I feel like a terrible person. I really do like children...most of them, anyways.
Thanks guys, for the tips.

You should just do it, it's cathartic for the most part, and they won't remember it... YAY FOR REPRESSED MEMORIES!

The same thing actually just happened to me last month. My friend dropped this on it's face and it rolled onto the headstock. My dad has been doing woodwork for 12 years, though, so i asked him if he thought he could fix it. He said that a break like that left plenty of surface area to be glued, and it would stick really well. And it has!

Keeps a tune, the action is about the same, no fret buzz. It's not rough to run my hands over, either. Just need to get some blue lacquer now..
