I was just wondering if anyone out there has read or is currently reading anything by Bernard Cornwell. I ask because he just came out with a new book, and I'm wondering if this will stir up a little more popularity for him. I only heard of his writing through my AP English teacher last year in high school, and I love everything I've read by him thus far (which isn't even an eighth of what he's written!)...

I haven't read much by him, but the Archer's Tale series was pretty amazing. Granted I'm a medieval England nerd, but I loved every bit.

I started reading the Archer's Tale, then had a bunch of assigned readings for classes, then left my book at home over break. *frown* But I'm glad it's amazing, because I own all of that series, I've just yet to read it. I would recommend The Winter King, though. My personal favorite.

I have not heard of this man! But now I have! Thank you!

You're more than welcome! I've made it one of my life goals to spread the word about Bernard Cornwell in the hopes that someone else might fall just as in love with his stories as I have. My one friend went as far as to buy two copies of the book The Winter King and is doing that thing where after you're done with it, you should give it or send it to someone else you think might like it, passing it on forever (or until the book falls apart)...
I'm always afraid to recommend books like this because if someone goes out of their way to read it, but hates it for some reason, I feel bad. I just hope that isn't the case here!
