Title: Strange Wilderness
Post by: Narr on 03 Feb 2008, 00:19
I went to see it tonight with my brother and laughed pretty hard throughout most of it.  Now, if you're anti-Happy Madison films, you won't like it.  Obviously.  It's not ground breaking humor here.  The genuinely funny parts are hard to not laugh at, though.  The segments where it's supposed to be the clips of what they air on TV are absolute gold.

I saw the trailers, and it looks like it'll be decent overall with a few really funny moments. The clip from the preview with the buck-tooth shark had me on the floor.

OH MY GOD, THE SHARK WAS THE FUNNIEST THING I'VE SEEN ON TV FOR A LONG TIME I MUST SEE THIS MOVIE.

My brother and I have been quoting the movie to each other all day, now.  This is going to be like Happy Gilmore for us: Funnier as time goes on.  It'll be nice when it comes out in DVD because I guarantee it's the type of movie that makes you laugh more every time you see it.

I definitely enjoyed it.  It was no Grandma's Boy, but there were definitely some good parts in it.

I'm with you about the commentary on actual wildlife footage; the concept is fun enough that they could probably fill a movie/TV show with that and I'd watch it.
