I like to read, I've devoured many books in my short life, but my favorite artist has to be Jack Higgins?
Anyone else ever heard of him or read his books?
-
I think I've heard the name...

He was the butler on Magnum PI, right?

Nah, Jack Higgins isn't even this guys real name. It's Harry Peterson or Patterson or something. Anyway hes written a whole ton of books, mostly set during WW2 which usually have plots about Nazis being foiled and airplanes landing on rather treacherous improvised landing strips. His books are easy reads and rather fun I must admit. They're not exactly quality literature but they're enjoyable (if not a bit repetitious after a while).

Man, if you want seriously excellent, very gruesome WWII stories look no further than Isaac Babel. Seriously. This guy's stories were fucked up enough to get him arrested and executed by Stalin's secret police. The Red Cavalry Cycle are some of the best war stories I've ever read.
