In an interesting turn of events, Dave Pajo is starting a metal band.

Hillarious
Props to KvP for showing me this too.

Dead child are tight. They're like this wild iron maiden/queen/slint combination. I have no idea why, but for some reason it weirds me out when people outside of louisville care about the music here. Maybe its because I live in fucking kentucky, and kind of expect people to ignore us.

Pretty cool, you can definitely hear the Early Man influence.

			-
Didn't Pajo start his metal band like 3 years ago?
Anyway, if he is to apologise for something, it should definitely be Zwan

Yeah apparently he did. This is a new article though. What the hell.
So much for this thread.

The description of this band by roulettescars makes me want their album harder than anything I have ever wanted anything in my life if it is accurate.

Okay so this article must exist because their debut is coming out soon/just came out.
We should get this album in the mediafire thread. This band sounds pretty cool.

The samples on the myspace (http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendID=21660413) are pretty good, nothing unique or special. Their album comes out on April 8.
[EDIT - Apparently they've already got a self titled EP out. It's being a real bitch to get a hold of, though. Searching for 'dead child' can have some pretty unsavoury results. ]

Try putting EP on the end of that, it might help. Helped me find "The White".

			-
This is both hilarious and quite cool.

What exactly is "post-rock"? Does it have any actual definition?

			-
man, we have had this discussion a few too many times. just go search for post rock and you can probably find some topics of us talking about that.
