Alright, so I've been browsing my iTunes (being the trendy person I am) and I am finding that I need to have an equal alphabetical distribution of my music. So if anyone can recommend bands whose name starts with any of the following letters it would be awesomely appreciated:
C, E, G, I, O, T, U, V, X, Y, Z.
Thank you.

The better question is "why not?" I don't actually know why, it just kind of bugged me. I can't explain why, I just really thought it would be awesome to have more bands that start with E or Z or I....I guess the word I was searching for was "want" instead of "need."

Are you like, anal retentive about your music?
(I am, sort of. My tags have to be right, or I flip shit.)

I wish man...I need to go through my genres and cd's and even some of the names and make everything right....which is something I haven't done...ever...It'll take me probably 2-3 hours that I really don't want to spend on it.

I don't know what kind of wacked-out iTunes you're using, but they're default-sorted as E and T for me, pal.

Giraffes? Giraffes!
Hey man that's my line.

Guys this is not a good thread. Not a good thread at all. In fact, I am officially shitting on this thread.
Elliott Smith
This is S.Ted Leo and the Pharmacists
This is L.
Only if you are doing Smith, Elliott and Leo, Ted adn the Pharmacists. Which is a bit silly. E and T work fine.

I can only imagine that those of you who can use alphabetical sorting by first names have spent no significant time in any public or university library.
-
Addressing the earlier post, if you get something like Ted Leo and the Pharmacists it's the name of the band so it still starts with T, not L. But if it's just an individual artist then it is last name first.
-
Also, since when do the contents of my digital music player qualify as a library? I mean, sure, it's called a library internally, but... come on. I'm not screwing around with the frigging Dewey Decimal System.
-
I organize my music by arranging the words that compose a band's name from most significant to least significant. The correct band name happens to be "Leo, Ted, Pharmacists, and, the" and if you disagree, you have never read a book.

Guys now I'm all insecure because I have Keith Fullerton Whitman under W but maybe it should go in F though I'm pretty sure it's not Fullerton-Whitman but Fullerton doesn't really sound like a middle name and now I'm so confused someone help.

Tsilkworm.
The T is silent and invisible.
Ooh! Don't forget Zilkworm!

CARBON LEAF
Edgar Meyer? IF you're going for mainly a rock collection you'd want to avoid this -- he's more a violinist, did some Appalachian stuff.
Also, if you want classic stuff: Earth, Wind, and Fire
THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS
TOMMY TALLARICO (actually I have a bunch of T names since I have a bunch of Genesis soundtracks, like Takeshi Yoshida (composed for Thunder Force IV -- cool music btw))
If I actually suggested U2 I'd likely get lynched but whatever, so I won't really I think they do have some good stuff, though some isn't that interesting.
(Van Morrison? Eh. I also have a recording credited to Vladimir Ashkenazy -- his version of Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition)

More distressing is the inclusion of The Vines.
Their first effort isn't half bad. I'd like to think they just stopped after that though...
Also, the lack of Cooper Temple Clause is disturbing. TO THE MEDIAFIRE THREAD!

More distressing is the inclusion of The Vines.
