Scientists had never seen bone be replaced by metal before. Either that or they were crappy paleontologists.

Nice foil skull, what did you use for the frame?

That must have been hard to make.   I can't do anything with tin foil.

The skull has its own endoskeleton of twisted wire. How ironic is that? Sadly, the frame by itself doesn't photograph well, partly because it's shy by nature but mostly because it has no depth perspective, hence why I clothed it in metal foil tape. It was either that or black duct tape, and there's enough dino gimp maskage out there as it is. Anyone want to help me complete the skeleton? Only debilitating perfectionism is stopping me from continuing.

How'd you do the teeth?

to finish off, just break into your local museum and bring lots of tin foil with you

I used wire cutters at an angle to get the teeth sharp and pointy, then wrapped them around the frame, not in that order. The pic above is looking from within the jaw.

They look like nails.  Are they nails, or just a thicker wire?

Looks like clipped barbed wire to me. Nice job. What's it for?? Just for fun, or was it some kind of a project?

Even simpler than that, it was just an ordinary spool of hardware store wire, cut at an angle with wire cutters, and bent into the lovely flesh-tearing curve you can see above. This was made just for the hell of it; being in Boston, I wonder if Randall Munroe would be interested in doing something with it. There may be updates in the future.

That last picture makes it look massive.

How big is this thing? In comparison to your hand say?

Awesome, by the way.

Totally stalk him and leave raptor clawprints and marks on his daily routes. Awesome skull!
