IMDB knows nothing of any such remake.  While not definitive, I would take that as a really good sign.

There were rumors that there was going to be a Ben Affleck/Jennifer Lopez remake of Casablanca as well. It won't happen in our lifetimes.

Clearly posted at 12 am on April Fool's....but even so this is a hit completely, completely below the belt.  Casablanca is an amazing movie that, if EVER remade instead of reimagined would be ripped apart.  And Madonna....*shudder*

The only movie Madonna was in that was good had little to do with her apperance in the film.

That being "A League of Their Own," one of my favorite comedy movies ever.

I highly doubt that any legit movie stuido would ever even consider remaking Casablanca.  Asside from being a complete waste of money, no one would see it because I would make it my personal mission to destroy everything and everyone related to it's production.
