Title: Real conversation with my girlfriend
Post by: dredgeups on 03 Apr 2008, 10:34
I was just very happy with how this turned out; both the conversation and the comic.

:D  Adorable.

Sounds like you have a keeper.
The artwork makes it all the more cute.  Please don't hesitate to have more awesome conversations that can be converted to entertaining arts. <3

Not to be a bitch or anything, but is this not a comics & drawings forum?

I could understand re-directing this person to that thread if he were blatantly plugging his own comic, but I never got that impression.  In fact, the link to his comic is below his name, which sort of says to me that it might be his signature.  Plus, if you take a look at the link, you should notice that the people in the comic are fictional while this comic was made about he and his sweetheart.

That was a pretty good comic. I'm glad it wasn't contained to the 'Plug Your Comic' thread, because I never read that.

Lurk more.

Trust me. The both of you. Lurk.

Why lurk when you could just cut out the condescending words and tell us why this was in the wrong place?

I see this is the comics & drawings forum, and looking at several other topics in this forum has only supported my theory that this is in the right place.  Either that, or no one is ragging on the others who have posted their own art here.

Seriously.  For future reference, I would like to know exactly why this is in the wrong place.

Dude, seriously, cool your jets.

What is there for us to comment on in this thread? I mean, other than saying "Oh nice comic." Seriously, where are there other things to talk about? Threads should be more about conversation, and just saying "Nice comic" "Oh thanks" over and over again isn't conversation.

Maybe posting it in the "This is the drawing forum, right?" thread would have been a bit more appropriate, if he did indeed want people to see this one strip. But since he plugged his comic at the end of his post, he should have posted it in the "Plug Yr Comic" thread.

So, once again, lurk more. It will help you understand how the board works.

Why did you bring up an old and seriously dead thread? You didn't even have anything constructive to say; maybe you should think before necroing.
